You should be ashamed of yourselves Blizzard

no shes passionate about her opinion theres nothing wrong with that on the contrary people with conviction are what forums need the alternative is a bunch of people who only fall in line with the corporate perspectives and views

as ive said before we dont always share a common opinion but the one thing we can agree on is our belief in defending what we think is right cheetah doesnt agree with other people and thats her right anything less would be a disservice to honesty and a compromise of ones principles

Misscheetah is literally telling you how to think and act in this thread. A little hyprocritcal of her own behavior.

That and they regularly white knight on behalf of Blizzard as if there’s some underlying incentive for them personally.

I’ve playes Blizzard games since TLV and RnRR as a kid and I’ve loved every moment success and failure, friends made and battles lost etc.

Just because i have great memories doesnt mean I should be disenchanted by the carcass that remains of a once great company. For a lot of older gamers like myself the honeymoons long over and we’re just sticking around for the abusive relationship hoping Blizzard will change…

I’m sorry if I somehow implied that they had to agree with people. It’s possible to disagree without making people feel attacked. The only reason I mentioned it was because it was off putting to me and I stopped being influenced by her points and found myself agreeing with their opponents the more they wrote. It’s just an observation from my point of vein though and maybe others are influenced by that kind of argument style.

I think the problem is that while pretty much everybody expects others to have a bias, the article and its title here isn’t merely slanting the truth. It’s just flat out wrong.

I know people will say it’s “splitting hairs” because we’re talking about Blizzard’s parent company and that means whoever takes this job will probably deal with some Blizzard IPs at some point, but it would be like claiming “BioWare is hiring a new PR manager!” on a job that was posted by EA.

It’s only slightly more confusing in this case because the parent company is named after 2 of the major companies it owns rather than it being very clear that BioWare is a studio owned by EA.

Now I agree that Diablo Immortal is a, well… all around bad and predatory game. However when stuff like this gets posted people just use it to undermine any point you might have had(even though really at this point, everybody has made up their minds and nobody is going to be changing it anymore).

Look at what this thread turned into, after all.

Don’t bite. I suspect he is an alt account or someone supporting trolls here like Ahnuld and Bravata ( in another thread ).

Sure Jan.

The entire job posting was posted and nowhere does it read that. That is just a part of it. You have no clue if this is a new position or replacing somone who left or is leaving. Seriously doubt this is a new position just because of DI, but rather replacing someone who is leaving. Also, it would be better suited if the was a Blizzard hire to fit the narrative of DI is ruining the company as the OP has been chicken littling since June.

Nah, people believe the green text means something it never has.

What does my opinion have to do with the OPs opinion on DI and the sky falling.

Based on the job posting and my own job experience and industry experience I do believe this posting is for PR and fixing communication thats broken and the crisis’ thats come from poor decision making that has lead to the major backlash from the player base. Whether DI or a multitude of other titles.

It doesnt matter if its a replacement or new role or if its a 3rd party or Activision posting itself. No one implied thats relevant other than in your assumption.

The article title falsely claimed it was a Blizzard PR position. It was not. So yes, it is relevant.

It has nothing to do with DI.

The position is for Activision Publishing.

Activision-Blizzard (ATVI): Stockholding umbrella company over top of several subsiiary companies.

  • Activision Publishing
    – 12 or so sub studios like Raven
  • Blizzard Entertainment
  • King games (Candy Crush and mobile titles)

Positions posted on the Blizzard website can be for any of those and the job description will say which.

ATVI is hiring an internal coms person
Activision is hiring a Global Communcations Manager
Activision is hiring a PR person for CoD
ATVI is hiring two regional PR folks

Blizz is not hiring for PR at all.

Yes, it is a PR position, clearly stated in the PR category and yes, of course a Global Communications Manager focuses on communications. Many many types of communications, not just “crisis” management, although that is part of the job description.

This is for Activision though, it has nothing to do with Blizzard. Nothing to do with DI. Activision’s big title is Call of Duty. They were also the company that had the employee who committed suicide during a work retreat - that made the news and is relevant to the lawsuit.

Oh so this job postings specifically in response to the suicide.

Thank you for connecting the invisible dots and sharing your insider information! I Thought you wanted to stick to the facts not fake madeup clickbait titles or in this case statements.

Also, Activision is the parent company for Blizzard yet you focus on CoD. Again, not fact that this is anymore CoD related than Blizzard or DI. An assumption to support your own rant.

Yes the articale falsley claimed. Not me or anyone else. You’re arguing against the article not me. You come across as incredibly belittling and arrogant. Ask what youre trying to actually argue here. To me it looks like you’re just arguing to be right.

No, it is not in response to that incident specifically, as far as I know. I have no idea why you have decided to try to make things up.

No they are not. Activision-Blizzard (ATVI) is an individual company that owns at least 3 sub companies.

  • Activision Publishing
  • Blizzard Entertainment
  • King Games

Activision Publishing does not own Blizzard. It does have oversight over at least 12 studios, but Blizzard is not one of them.

And yes, I mention CoD because that is the big game Activision makes and the position being hired is for Activision - so the person will be dealing a lot with CoD.

Let’s see? The entire premise for the thread is that this hire is because of DI based on the phrase crisis management. Your post says the job listing reads crisis management, which it doesn’t, which alludes to the need for crisis management based solely because of DI.

Maybe, maybe it’s just to replace the current one.

Context is key. So it is highly relevant.

Where did she claim that?

She clearly mentioned that it happened nit that it was the root cause for the position.

Man you people.

Literally a made up fact that the job posting is in response to the suidice.

The arrogance…

You are literally making up facts that the job post is in response to the suicide and accuse people mutliple times in this very thread of not adhering to facts.

Kettle meet pot.

Your arguments run on assumptions.

Context IS key. Go read the OPs post. Not the 3rd post in.

Also, go reread my post while your at it. Reading is also key.

Seems like a Bravata alt with liking to this word.

This is why D4 needs Arena PVP and Invasions from Dark Souls/Elden Ring for 1v1 pve/pvp and 2v2, 3v3 duels as well as pvp/pve group modes.

At least allow the player base to have some balanced fights.

Are Blizzard too scared to let people see the balance of the classes by making us go into ffa style world pvp zones?

If Blizz want people to enjoy D4 endlessly especially for a modern market, they need good pvp systems in the game as well as pve content.

Completely agree with this.

Blizzard SHOULD be ashamed of themselves. Not devs but those in charge of these decisions. Especially those willing to be the face of it and peddle this BS to us while lying directly to our face and trying to cover it up acting like they are normal people in society that should be at all respected after their actions.

It’s time we cancelled this behaviour and those willing to participate in it.
