They just did the right thing.
Removing SOME of the Power from the buffed Items and put it on the Set.
LoD-WoL is still stronger as it is on the Live Severs. So it is still a Buff for a Build, that was not theyr primary Fokus.
And Inna, together with the adjusted Allies might become as good as intended. Esp now that they (hopfully) adressed all the Issues with the IAS inharitance and Enforcer.
Wrong, Inna’s is just as weak as it was before, they did nothing to improve an under-performing set, and made WoL LoD no longer viable either. If it goes live with these changes, it will be another season of Tempest Rush.
The only thing this entire PTR has managed to accomplish at this point is destroy the Innas set.
Only been about an hour but we have a 124 grift in 11:42 paragon 1117. Looking like the set is going to be pushing 135 or so at paragon 5k. Thats with Bartuc’s and no enchants. I honestly think it still needs to be 2x-4x stronger then it is. I only see it pushing 135 and that’s with quadruple damage from the bartucs.
The Bracer needs to be a flat 600-800% increase in damage, and the boot needs to be buff back to 400%. Also, toughness will still be an issue at higher GR.
It would improve the set, but that’s not enough still. That gives it around 50% more damage. I could be wrong though, because on paper this update seemed weaker, but in practice it feels stronger.
I just tested myself and it is pretty solid I would say, Definitely better in pushing compared to TR builds. I think they fix IAS bug and enforcer for pets really helped
Removing clone interaction with BotLG as split Fire Ally is ok, but reducing both BotLG and the Crudest Boots multiplier at the same time is stupid.
Players have complained for a long time about power all coming from sets and not enough from legendary items to make LoD/LoN builds more appealing and create more diversity, and you stated it like that’s what players want and a correct thing to do.
DH suffers from exactly this kind of design decisions that the sets are overwhelmingly strong and legendary items dont provide enough power for LoD/LoN builds to be competitive with sets.
With set leaderboards implemented, it is hardly an issue if LoN/LoD builds occasionally fall behind 6p set builds as they aren’t competing with each other anyway. Unless if you care about their performance in group, which I think you don’t.
What is a probem is balancing builds within LoN/LoD. And I can think of some cases where this balance falls tragically short (LoN Fan of Knives being many tiers behind LoD rapid fire despite being a much more skillfull build, for instance). I can also see then, that a beefed up LoD WoL build would easily supplant LoD tempest rush. Is this a non-issue for you?
It’s not about the leaderboards. It’s about the diversity of builds that you can play and enjoy regularly because pushing is only a very small part of the game. I personally avoid all builds that are only good for pushing like LoD Archon Shi Mizu Twister and old school DH FoK builds.
On the other hand, farming efficiency is one of important, if not the most important factor in the game unless you’re extremely casual. That’s why the builds need a certain level of power to be considered viable and that’s what I care about.
I’m a solo player and I play all classes, so I don’t really care about what class is at the top and generally hate nerfs.
Unfortunately LoD TR is not viable in the first place since it doesn’t have enough power compared to SWK or PoJ TR builds.
Hmm, the problem is on you then if you want to farm gear for all classes without carefully estimating your potential for doing so in a reasonable amount of time. Especially if you limit yourself to doing so solo. No wonder you clamor for each class to have the most efficient farming build possible, while disregarding the implications for balance on the pushing end.
