Yesss, Finally... Jewelry always rolls socket

Great news. New cube recipe always rolls socket on jewelry. At least on the Squirts and Traveler’s Pledge so far. Was so easy to roll a perfect Elem, crit, crit. Not even 1000 ashes for two items.

Always socket, did 22 rolls on a compass rose to get one passable, that ring sucks to roll.

You mean the primal upgrade?

Yes, the primal upgrade recipe.

Primal jewelry always rolls a socket (exception being OROTZ). Just like Primal weapons never rolls with a socket.

Too bad only one such item can be equipped, making it back to the “why don’t my ringz done haveth sling spots!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Nothing is ever satisfying.

Well, I guess I was excited for nothing. I could have sworn I rolled primal rings and necks that didn’t have sockets, but after looking at my inventory it seems I was mistaken.

You better have a really good weapon if you want to waste your Primordials with jewelry rolls only.

You might have thought of the Angelic Crucibles, while technically primal did not have the perk of guaranteed sockets.

On the PTR the recipe was slightly bugged since at least weapons could roll with a socket when primals should never have one. Haven’t tested it on jewelry myself so I can’t say anything about that side.

If they’ve fixed it to follow the normal primal roll rules, that’s good news.

That is exactly what I was thinking. I really thought this new recipe was going to work like that. I just never noticed that my primals all had sockets.

Well, I’ve got tons of primals, including many good weapons, so it really does not matter for now. Once the season hits, it will of course be entirely up to RNGesus as to whether I roll for weapons or jewelery. Double primal drops + double Kadala legendaries will make getting a good weapon pretty easy I’m going to bet.
