Max Disc is priority numero uno always
This 100% More Disc=More Damage
Just took a look at your Yangs.
Do NOT roll disc from 9 to 12. It’s a very small increase in damage (disc is additive to the UE6 bonus, so it’s not 100% more damage per disc in a literal sense). As long as it rolls disc on it period, always consider rolling the other stats instead unless all of your other pieces of gear that has disc happened to roll base 9.
You have a few options. You can roll the main damage range higher for more brute damage, or if you’re looking to keep this yangs long term, roll the vitality into AD.
Now that CC is integrated into the UE set, is it worth having CDR on the Yangs, for more damage through the CC damage bonus? Probably better on other items, right?
Depends.
If you don’t have cdr on gloves/shoulder/quiver, then it’s not a bad option. Most people usually have cdr on shoulder and either gloves or quiver for perma-vengeance previously, so having CDR on Yangs would only net around a ~6% increase give or take one. AD or even bonus vs elites would be stronger here.
My Yangs rolled without disc so i didn’t really have a choice, but I’m cool with it.
Thanks for help DiEoxidE. So, given that how bonus dmg from discipline is additive I think will re-roll vitality into area damage or cdr for additional dmg from CC3 (I have cdr on shoulders and quiver, on gloves have att speed. Perma Vangance is not a problem though. So, maybe cdr is not worth that much as you said.).
By the way, is it a good idea to roll att speed on gear? I rolled att speed on my one ring and gloves. Is att speed relevant in UE Multishot or its better to go for area dmg or cdr? (on rings)
On topics like this I want the downvote button back. The first two answers are terribly wrong. No, max discipline is NOT “priority numero uno always”.
Fortunately, someone with better knowledge also responded quickly. ![]()
It is a useful stat, but I wouldn’t directly aim for it. I am not sure which is best on rings. RCR is fine for even more MS, CDR increases the damage with CC3 (but only a little bit), AD is fine (if you make use of it by pulling enemies), IAS is fine as well (if you have enough RCR). And on season start with low paragon, Dex+CHC+CHD is the strongest option.
While using CC3, I think IAS comes in handy, because you lose IAS on the belt slot.
I agree, I used to downvote misinformation or troll posts. Now it’s a lot more difficult to flag bad information and you just need to hope the player needing help scrolls down to get some more opinions instead of just taking the first response’s advice.
On rings, avg damage is usually the best way to go. AD isn’t bad either, but since it’s easier to get AD on other peices of gear without sacrificing decent damage options (gloves/quiver/shoulders and yangs to an extent), avg damage is usually the way to go since you can’t reliably get it any where else but rings (bad choice on amulet).
If you ran with witching hour before patch and liked how that attack speed BP felt, then your best option is to roll attack speed on gloves. It’s sorta hard to quantify how valuable attack speed would be on rings as it completely depends on your ability to consistently fire MS’s uninterrupted throughout the rift.
Thanks for your reply. I will test this out.
Basically it seems that UECC3 multishot just needs a little bit of everything: cdr, rcr, area dmg, ias. The question is what is the best balance of all these stats… heh. My initial conclusions are that:
If I would get quadra gloves, I would add area dmg on them as well.
Or to put it differently: need 3 or 4 placers with cdr, 1-2 with area dmg, 1-2 with ias. The question is, is a dmg bonus from CC3 less and less effective with additional cdr added to the gear?
Sadly, yes. There is even a “double diminishing returns” with CC3 and CDR.
At first, 8 percent more CDR on your gear does not increase the total amount of CDR by 8 percent points, but by a lesser value x. And then, this value x increases your damage by x percent points, which is less than x percent more damage. Even with only 30% CDR, 8% additional CDR will increase your damage by only 4.3%.
Therefore stacking CDR for CC3 is not worth it imho. You can make good use of it for some extra wolf howling, but I would say that other rolls are better when it comes to damage increase.
Nice, that is what I expected. So ias/area dmg is better than CDR after I got perma Vengance/wolf. Thx
I accidentally rolled my Yang’s so that there is no discipline. I have now 71 discipline total. Luckily there’s primals so it was truly not an endgame Yang’s.
You received some good answers over on Reddit, I’d just add that so long as the other stats are nice, this could be a good bow for and M6 MS.
Ah, good point. Thanks.
