I have a series x and am thinking of getting it. Any way to find out what the player count is like?
As far as the total player count, what I typically do every season is find a friend who’s willing to level up a seasonal character to Level 10. That’s the minimum amount of achievement points you can get. Typically, it’s roughly 250k players on the PlayStation, and 200k players each on the Xbox & Switch.
But this is only the amount of people who have actually played a seasonal character, and not the active player base. Then, I look at how many players have 800 achievement points. This is typically a value that says that you have reached GR70 solo and run a couple rifts and bounties. Out of those 200k+ players, this typically drops the player count down to around 10k per platform.
But remember, even then, most of those players tend to only go for the Season Journey, and pretty much quit the game 2 weeks into the season. For dedicated players who play throughout the season, you’ll most likely need to find a discord channel. How many are active below the 10k, I really can’t say. But there still is an active community at any point in time.
