I did recopy my characters back down after making the blunder (thanks bt for the idea) and I took the good nodes and so much of a big difference in game play. Its going to be an alt character paradise for fun.
Are we console players screwed with the NG, YES - but we were to begin with. I think just getting that insta button random pylon power will make up for it by 10 fold.
Im really excited to play, i know we stand no chance at the leader boards on playstation thanks to jesters cheating crew. But at least they cant even ruin the fun we are about to have
It needs to be changed. Because while you find its fun, its fun for a 1 week PTR, not for a season.
There needs to be something that’s unobtainable for casual players. That’s basic game design. And many of the PTR complaints are about removing the tedious item requirements that might take an hour or two to farm, so that they can have the full tree in only a few hours after they hit 70.
Why would anybody really play past Sunday night, if the leaderboard was all about who just got lucky drinking potions 5x in a row, when a player who avoids that tactic has absolutely zero chance, even if they play 300+ hours? Right now, all the leaderboards are down to sub 5 minute solo GRs, and sub 90 second multiplayer GRs, and this is with <2000 Paragon.
who really plays console past the first few days into the season? We normally complete the season by Saturday evening or Sunday morning if it starts on time Friday night.
To answer your question, because some people don’t care about leaderboards and play the game for whatever kind of fun they can get out of it. I will play the season as is or even if they nerf the theme/potions. I will have a good time playing my way.
WHY? and secondly there already is - high paragon levels
Because certain group of players need to feel good about what they do in the game, preferably something that most players can’t do. I guess he/she is part of that group of players. We could call them “elite” but I think that’s exactly what is causing the problem.

I consider BT in that elite group of players not only based off his skill level at the game but just being a nice guy. He will drop what hes doing and give you a hand and even if it takes 17 tries at beating a fresh start game in t he under 1 hour console run, he doesnt complain.
But yeah, I on the other hand fall in the category of players that whew, finish that season I got my “pet or special whatever” done with this season and move on to the next game.
Fact is I didnt even play this current season on my console for more than a day and thought screw it but with BTs help on pc I finished the full season and just stopped again.
I most likely will be playing the PC version this season to finish the full thing and maybe grind out a few paragons but my track record isnt that great as I get bored fast! hahah
