I would say, those gems design are really great!
I just got Terror and Hatred shards. They are really powerful an fun.
Terror:
If num(mobs within 25yards) <=3: +15% DR,
else: + max(100%, num(mobs within 25 yards) * 10%)
Hatred:
CD: +25%
Every skill on cool down: +12.5% DR, +75% Dmg
Destruction:
unhindered through enemies, marked them. When a marked mob die, cd -1s. If marked mob not die within some time, lose 2%max health. Not apply if health below 35%

Those are fun. They seem to all give power and a negative effect.
My helm - shard of hatred lvl3
+664 all resists
+23% Life
Reduce cooldowns 15%
Reduce all resources 15%
+34% gold, 50% xp
You deal 15% reduced damage while you have 3 or fewer enemies within 25 yards. If more than 3 enemies are within the same distance you deal 10% additional damage per enemy up to 100%
What effect does using the ember on it have ? Does it buff all the stats each time, or does it change some or all of the rolls completely?
Each consumable unlocks a power, up to lvl 3. there is a lot of RNG in the rolls. Different element damage, etc, etc. Basically I got a vault page full of lvl 3 gems with different stats.
New gems are incredibly fun xD Love the explosion from Anguish.
Also, in case anyone missed it, if you upgrade a shard to rank 3, you can use it instead of a legendary gem in the Cube’s Caldesann’s Despair recipe. When doing so, you get a 625 stat augment, i.e. it’s the equivalent of an augment using a rank 125 legendary gem.
I missed this, but this is awesome! None of my gems ever reached Level 125 lol.
Does it seem like these gems will end up being more powerful than the Ethereal weapons? Meaning higher/easier push for us lonely solo folk with limited time to play?
If I look at the current season leaderboard way stronger… But it might also be bugged, dual wielding the weapon gems.
Hmm, if it is bugged, it seems like a pretty big oversight this early on. Not saying it isn’t a bug or anything like that, but Blizz was pretty good about keeping it to 1 Ethereal weapon. Surely they would have seen the outcome of being able to equip 2 of these weapon gems.
I hope that makes sense; I’ve been functioning on very little sleep and a little bit of coffee these past few mornings. Being able to even type a coherent sentence is a victory in my book!

Btw for instance a Barb did a 145 with IK and Hota, and around 1300 paragon… That is how OP the dual wielding or the gems are.
I’ve never really played HotA before. To be honest, I take long hiatuses from the game and played S24 for about a month-and-a-half, after having been away from the game for a couple of years. Did it show what weapons were used? I would have assumed that Remorseless would’ve been the weapon of choice, but you wouldn’t be able to equip anything else if that’s the weapon you were using, right?
He was using remorsless and echoing fury. And to be fair, he does have everything augmented with the new gems…
Huh, and here I am thinking that Remorseless was a 2H weapon lol.
Sever Bugged again. I see Rob didn’t use bloodshed. Before Rob, I think Cass cleared 130 within 5 min.
I don’t have a way to see leaderboards or anything - do you know what his paragon level was, by chance?
Now I see the leaderboard updated. Cass got 145 with bloodshed. No bugged sever. Both players has paragon around 1200-1300. But they both has full 125 Caldesanns. Equivalently should be around p2800.

Maybe that gives me a chance lol. I made it to Paragon 1370 and I think I cleared 125 this season. I got sidetracked at the beginning of September and haven’t really played D3 since.
