I don’t think anyone in that thread fixed it by reinstalling. They changed a setting in the Bnet launcher… or changed a setting in a text file (support link: https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/article/103041
).
If launching in windowed mode happens to work, you can also try: open D3 folder, create a shortcut to the D3 executable (not the D3 launcher executable), open shortcut Properties, and in the Target field add a space followed by -windowed
And then launch D3 from that shortcut. I use such a shortcut in the Start menu (create it by right-clicking the .exe & choose “Pin to Start”, then edit from there).
