Hey guys, i’ve tried to collect all of the 21 Ethereal items and so far I’ve got 19 of them, including Wizardspike.
However, the Wizardspike was not marked as “Collected” in the “Achievements” section even after finding it twice.
There was a strange behavior right after I left a low level (Level 5) Tier 6 game in which I entered a Vault (using Puzzle Ring) with a Wizard where my “Switch Hero” button disappeared completely and the “Start Game” and “Game Settings” buttons were grayed out (hovering with the mouse over the “Start Game” was showing a message like “Unable to join Party” or something like that.
During the session mentioned above before leaving and encountering the weird issue, I found two Ethereals (Wizardspike and Mang Song’s Lesson)
After I encountered the issue above, I’ve restarted the game and created a new session on Normal with the same Wizard who was Level 6 and opened the “Achievements” section to look at how many Ethereals remain to be found for the “Ethereal Recollection” Acheivement. This is where saw that the Wizarspike Ethereal was not marked and opened another Vault with Puzzle Ring ( the first ring was consumed ).
After i reached Greed and killed it, the same Ethereal items dropped again (Wizardspike and Mang Song’s Lesson).
The Wizardspike entry was still not marked as “Collected” in the achievement after the item was picked up and then identified.
I’ve also tried switching to another character after putting the Wizardspike in the Stash and tried to drop it and pick it up again, yet… still nothing.

The achievement window can be VERY slow to update (or not update at all). However data is STILL tracked and when the achievement completes, it will fire off. Get the last 2 ethereals your missing and see if it gives the achievement.
Hey… I was told by a GM to post here. I collected ALL of the ethereal weapon appearances. I got the achievement. It took us an EXTRAORDINARY amount of time to get the last couple, and we spent 15 hours grinding them out on December 4th. Got it done. Achievement. Yay. TOOK A SCREENSHOT so there is proof, and besides… doesnt Bnet collect achievement info per account? Logged in a couple days later… no achievement, no appearances. I am told this is a known issue and that there is currently no fix. I really hope that changes because I BUSTED MY BUTT getting all of that done. I ripped that season like no other because the ethereals mean something to those of us who have played since the original. To say I am disappointed and disheartened, not to mention feeling rather ripped off, would be an understatement. This was the thread that Game Master Ritorack linked and requested I post on, however it does not seem to be the same issue. PLEASE SOMEONE fix this. Why did I put all that work in, get the achieve, and then have it never given?
This is the msg I received in response to my ticket about the missing appearances. Oh btw, my husband has all of his… though he cannot find the actual achievement. Please let us know what we can do to correct this. So incredibly disappointed and feeling very cheated.

There is a known issue with this - "Wizardspike" Ethereal not marked as "Collected" - as posted here. Customer Support has no work around that we can provide at the moment and I encourage you to add a response to the thread so the Diablo III is aware of the impact this is having on the community."
I no longer have the Feat of Strength achievement showing, but, I do have the ethereal transmogs. Don’t know when the FoS went missing, didn’t look at it again after it was earned, and only checked it now after seeing this thread and others.
