All buffed wizard builds have the same problem . They need 3 Weapons or Offhands to get all multiplier . Hydra wizard need : Deathwish , Fragment of destiny and Serpent’s Sparker, / Twister wizard need : Deathwish, Valthek’s rebuke and The twistet Sword . Frozen Orb Wizard need : Orb of infinite Depth, Triumvirate, Wizardspike, Unstable Scepter. Next season this 3 Builds gonna be very strong . After Season 22, all these builds will be weaker again because a multiplier is missing. It would be good if you buffed other item slots instead of weapons in the Twister and Hydra set.
I do not think that you plan to take over the 4 cube slot after the season

Hydra doesn’t need deathwish. Because fragment of destiny doesn’t benefit from channels. The offhand require blizzard to get the hydra mod. So now your even more limited on skills choice.
I agree with your twister statement though. I haven’t looked into orb yet because I never liked that build in past
Playing Hydra wizard with Deathwish Fragment of destiny gives you a worse multiplier. So why would you use Fragment of Destiny over Deathwish? i dont understand your Position
300% is what fragment of destiny. Deathwish is 375 I know this. But how are you maintaining resources with channeling using blizzard and keeping 2 hydras up with armro for halo. To get max benefit from deathwish?
im Playing with Hergbrash’s Binding to get enought ressources and you can channel Arcane Torrent Same time you cast hydras and Blizzard
If you bothered to look, both versions are clearing around the same GR levels on NS right now so this isn’t a problem, channeling is no longer mandatory for the build to perform well. Like I said in the wizard forums the 25% advantage Deathwish has is literally meaningless vs FoD for a few reasons:
- The one second damage delay
- Stricken stacking faster with FoD version = more damage
- LoD version faster flame blade stacking = more damage
Of course after season you can’t use all 3 weapons, that’s the point of season…extra power. So for hydras there’s really no issue here. Twister since Deathwish and Etched Sigil are baked into the build there’s actually an issue there.

I don’t think Blizzard’s plan is to buff the items for a class so that you can’t use all multipliers after the season
They should BUFF all the new stuff the new items are killing the wizard class.
