But is it possible to play the witch doctor as a summoner? Summoning a lot of pets doing the work for you? And not only for fun, atleast the season journy should be fine

You can have a ton of pets if you want. WD has fetishes, zombie dogs, and gargantuans. Zuni set and Helltooth set are both great for pet builds.
