Will you lore buffs be getting the new Diablo book?

Do you think this new book will coincide with a launch announcement for D4?

It’ll definitely be on my to-get list.

From the sounds of it, the book would mostly depict tales pertaining to the ancient Horadrim. Honestly I would’ve hoped that they would also describe the tales of the new Horadrim and some of their plights. Perhaps we could’ve even found out what happened at Skovos Isles that Tyrael and Lorath discussed about. Even better some of the tales could even describe certain events that took place which played a part in the New Horadrim’s decline.

Either way, it’ll be quite the read.

No idea.

Rhykker makes a good case for it, but I will not jump on the hype train just yet.

Absolutely. Love lore books.

June 12th, or at least what an unreliable time traveler once said.

I actually think we may get the next quarterly update blog for D4 after D:Immortal launches.

October 18th starts the D4 public testing.

Have you ever been correct on any of your predictions?

A slow one, less often.

As someone who has the Book of Cain, Book of Tyrael and Book of Adria, I’m thinking I should get this one too. Amazon is out of stock though and every where else is much more expensive (at least for what I can find that ships to my area).

Well, June 30th is technically after the 2nd.

Do you mean like that same day/week?

None. But that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to act as if he really knows.

Which one do you like the best? Which one would be good for someone new to Diablo?

Going by previous blogs, June 27th-30th would be the most likely. But I’m guessing we’ll see the blog during the week after Immortal launches.

End of the month seems to be the norm. I just hope it is a good one and not about art or sound.

Think of it this way. There’s not much more art and sound info they could give us.

Of course, I could be absolutely wrong. Either way, I’m looking forward to it. But seriously, some info pertaining to the Druid’s unique class mechanic would be nice imo.

Kids, don’t do drugs…

I probably enjoyed the Book of Cain the most. It was a time when the hype for D3 was huge. I had just played the open beta and loved that there was an ARPG that didn’t get me to hoard stat/skill points. I had the D3 CE on preorder and the Book of Cain was there to satisfy my thirst for Diablo lore. I was actually reading it on the bus commute from work when the guy sitting next to me said something along the lines of… “Can’t wait for the game to be released. The beta was really fun”.

As for someone new to Diablo… I’m not sure any of them would be a good idea as it would be lore overload. Someone new to Diablo should probably start with the games first and if they like the lore, delving into these books would be more rewarding. But Book of Cain would be best if I had to choose one. It sets the scene for D3 quite well but it most rewarding if you’ve played D1/2 of course.
