In order to get the Switch version D3 to run at a more steady framerate, and prevent slow motion in high GR? The Switch 2 will run Switch 1 games as partial emulation, so without a patch games will probably not run any better.
That would be one reason for me to buy the Switch 2, D4 or any of the other announced games are not a good enough reason.
I would be surprised if they did. I would play on Switch if they did raise to 60fps
To each their own, but I’m personally very excited for a ton of them: Bravely Default remaster, Street Fighter 6, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Pokemon, Zeldas, etc. And at least half the GameCube lineup is rare stuff that’s hard to find legally these days.
I also doubt they’ll patch specifically for Switch 2 but let’s face facts: there’s little reason NOT to buy Switch 2 if you can reasonably afford it and are at all a fan of Nintendo-based IP’s.
I have all Nintendo handhelds, so you might say that I’m a fan. But to be honest I’m only moderately into their IP’s after about Nintendo 64.
I bought Switch to play D3, and it led me to discovering Dark Souls and the Souls-series. Well worth the money. Switch 2 have to tempt me a lot for me to justify a buy, with say a game like Bloodborne (won’t happen), that I can’t play on my Steam Deck. A better D3 is also a good reason since i love the game and can’t play on Steam Deck with a controller.
Fair. Such being the case, I can see why Switch 2 may not appeal to you.

While what he said may seem brash, he’s not wrong. Blizzard stopped support for the game as well as being a notoriously incompetent company, I wouldn’t hold my breath for anything.
I know that, it’s not like I was introduced to D3 yesterday. I’m guessing probably not.
