Will area damage help Typhons set? Or is Hydra considered an Area of attack skill and since the set buffs Hydra damage 20,000% and not your damage - this stat is useless? Asking for a friend…
Also - why is my post count always reset to zero and no one replies - am i shadowbanned from participating in your Kancel Kult of Kon-senses?
Hydra has a proc coefficient greater than zero so yes - they will proc Area Damage. But keep in mind you have to cast the Hydras yourself. As a rule of thumb, procs don’t proc procs, so any Hydras which appear from Etched Sigil will not trigger any Area Damage.
wow thats quite specific and very helpful, and but they changed the etched sigil shield mod this season or last from casting any of your non mana regenerating skills to 200-250% twister damage, I think for speed build reasons. But thank you very much!
Nothing will help Typhon’s set. Well, nothing beyond a revision of the terrible off-hand and more damage.
Can’t disagree. Winter Flurry was an insult. If it worked with Frost Nova, it would be SO MUCH better, because Halo of Arlyse would proc it.
Correct. A lot of players have old ‘legacy’ Etched Sigils, though, which didn’t change.
True, Winter Flurry is a joke… and a very sad one at that. The buff condition “target has to be inside Blizzard” is not necessarily bad but it’s extremely clunky… the same level as Delsere’s bonus condition with the additional issue that Blizzard is more or less the worst AP spender Wizards currently have. Using Frost Nova would have been a natural fit, but Blizzard? Hm, if they tasked me to make that work, then maybe like this:
Expands Blizzard’s area of effect to 35 yards and releases Blizzard when you hit an enemy with an Arcane Power generating or spending skill {this effect has a cooldown of 1 second}. Enemies hit by Blizzard deal 25% less damage to you and take xxx% more damage from your other Arcane Power spending skills for 8 seconds. Killing an enemy with cold damage releases Frost Nova.
Still not optimal but at least way better compared to the bs they came up with.
As for Frost Nova… well, maybe like this:
Increases Frost Nova’s area of effect by half your pickup radius and reduces the cooldown by [n seconds/XX%]. Hitting an enemy [with cold damage] has a chance [of YY%] to release Frost Nova. This chance is 100% when the enemy dies from cold. Enemies hit by Frost Nova take 125-150% increased [cold] damage from you for 6 seconds.
Not sure if I really would limit the damage bonus to cold. If so, the buff could be a bit higher. My gut feeling for the cdr part would be a flat 3 seconds. And the chance to cause FN on hit should be set based on whether it’s limited to cold attacks and the effect being proc coef. related or not.
im doing 115 grs solo at paragon 1000 np, so if you thinks thats awful, i dont know what to say. Perhaps blizzard should make characters and gears that do gr 150 at paragon 200
Guarantee you won’t get much further then 120. A build always seems good when it’s easy enough to do that level. I’ve had builds that cleared 95’s in 3 mins, then going to 100 would take nearly the entirety of the time. Some builds drop off SUPER fast. If they don’t, if the rift takes over 12 minutes on average, you might be able to push 1-2 more grift levels before requiring fishing or getting significantly stronger. 115 is child’s level of grift. If you’re taking longer then 10 minutes (I’d wager you are and if not, 9 minutes if you get a real juicer) then the build is garbage. Plain and simple. There is someone using that build seriously and they have what? 122-123 grift right now? It’s not even comparable to FB. Slower movement on top of being significantly squishier.
Seriously, why is that a problem. If some wants to play something else let them.
If you know what they need to improve their build post a reply.
That’s not a problem. The problem is calling something good when it’s clearly trash.
you comment is the trashy thing here, ive played all the characters and good is relative for each build. I havent tried this one and i want to build her correct. Also im follow some build advice where this guy was clearing gr 140 with this build, but he had 5 k paragon. If she does 120-130 whats wrong with that? This game is about having fun - not pawning gr 150s at lvl 200. Clearly your projecting your ego into your toon. Get a grip.
Yup. Damage increase = good, doesn’t matter how you get it. “I have to jump through 20 hoops, hit 5 enemies with spectral blades, 1 second apart then I get double damage! ThIs Is GoOd BeCaUsE i GeT dOuBlE dAmAgEs!?>>!”"
