Why runewords should never be in any future Diablo game

because colorful gems and 150 solo 2 min runs dont cause issues.

Lol. Mistakes makes you learn. And yes sometimes it is going to be like a kick in the guts. But it dosen’t mean it’s bad.

People soloing GR150 solo within 2 minutes? Which region?

you think bots with ethereals pumping out 10 trillion xp an HOUR were bad?
wait till the devs new brain-fart idea turns next season into the biggest joke since blizzard caring for employees

Oh… thought it was non-season.

Thanks for the video though.

The deathblow effect on the Essence of Anguish is bugged, double dipping on the damage multipliers. It’s a good thing it was found already on the PTR and not after going live.

That being said Blizzard has been super lazy fixing season theme bugs. Couple of the previous themes went live bugged despite numerous bug reports during PTR testing.

the other weapon gem can 3second kill 150 solo RG
helm gem is +10-15 Tiers
weapon gems are 40+
innas wasnt nerfed and can do 150 solos without any seasonal gems, they nerfed other builds but doesnt rectify blown up issues like that?
they dont fix any in game bugs/issues/bots
then just randomly throw idiot mods on gems and call it a theme

Carbot has some amazingly entertaining toons! The humor is great, and how they do the game sfx to make the toons is clever. Love those toons they had me looking forward to D2R until I found out how big of a sham it is now.

Why runeword crafting was implemented poorly in D2 but of course developers can understand and adopt and are not a static pile of human flesh*

Much prefer D4’s system, where “runewords” are intuitive. X + Y = XY. Not something requiring a website for ko vex pul thul.

I think Anguish’s effects are intended to a degree. If it’s not, then that means Season 2 never taught developers anything and I don’t think that’s the case.

Anyway back to topic, I disagree. Runes can be a healthy way of small item chase for endgame without putting everyone on a treadmill through legendary gems. Thinking there won’t be an endgame dungeon system akin to Greater Rifts, runewords are the only proper way of gaining power.

We have barely heard anything about runes/words in D4 yet.

They showed items… change it!
They showed skills…change it!
They showed gameplay… change it!

Then they show a tree. An actual tree AGAIN! December update was just starting to get hope up (scary) and then…oh brother!

Stop beating around the bush nuns and make a pegi 18 Diablo.

Maybe, but from what we have seen from Diablo 4’s runewords (at BlizzCon 2019), they at least show great promise imo. Now if there’s any changes to them, we’ll eventually learn about it and/or give updated feedback regarding them. But for now, they show promise.

Remember they also said that they still needed to add progression to them. I like that we can pick how the runewards will work best for us. Instead of the just having to use whatever the RNG “god” gives us.

why some weebskizo trolls should get off the internet and back under their bridge…

There is a simple solution to that:

If an item has a runeword in it (not just some “random” runes) and you want to unsocket it, then it requires a huge / larger cost to do so, while unsocketing gems and runes is significantly less pricy.

I do think this type of “complexity” has a place. Looking around on the web of internetz is a way to get players interested and hooked. If everything you need to know is intuitive or is explained in detail inside the game then it means the game is too shallow imo. It’s a part of the discovery of the game.

I can only speak for myself, but any game that i get hooked on and play for years on end has always required me to look outside the game for resources and i enjoy looking things up. Looking up youtube videos as an example that is explaining certain things is a way to get the community together and create it.

I got it. But say for the same time, for this scenario, there are no online resources. How would you logically discover “KoVexPulThul” though? I mean, if the Runeword was PulEthTalAmn, for Heart of the Oak, maybe that would make sense. PETA.
