I noticed recently that almost all GR 150 on Season leaderboards now ALL use the Comet rune instead of Star Pact.
Almost all the clears were done with insanely high gons (8k - 11k!!)
From the beginning till just recently almost all Wizard GR 150 were using Star Pact
Anyone know why Comet seem to either be more preferred? Or is it more damage at higher paragons?
Because the cold comet can be spammed more than star pact … I use the comet rune in my Non Season with 10K paragon , but on my season I still use the star pact on my 3K wiz .
The benefits of cold comet spamming more is you can rev your Stricken gems faster to kill RG faster , but you need to have much higher paragon so u wont be squishy
Why aren’t you using Star Pact for your speed GRs?
Same answer, at this point their doing speed 150’s and Star pact is too slow for that. They don’t need the extra power, if there was GR160 you’d see them back using Star Pact.
That’s also when you know the season has run far, far too long. Almost there!

On the leaderboard basically over 9k, it becomes faster to rune the Comet rune, than to strategically star pact with Arcane Attunement.
I cleared 150 back in Oct 22 with 3k gon, I didnt think I would like a 2H wielding Wizard, but I like this playstyle a lot more than Firebird MI 
Hope Blizz’s nerf hammer is not looking for targets
IMHO , the tals build will get nerfed next patch
