If I am the most powerful being in the world, I will take this form just to spite my enemies.
Thats not wrong at all. Its a common social problem. There are ppl who have that issue today. I got plenty of clients who did exactly that. Or u gonna argue that ppl didnt stay home from school because of WoW? Or u saying that china and south korea having restriction on online gaming for no reason? U cant argue that. Because its a known fact.
I wouldn’t complain over 70$, now if each expansion ends up being 70$ I would probably complain then, but at least they aren’t taking the Immoral approach this time around. They could have easily gone that path. You can’t even play Diablo Immoral at a competitive level until you have dropped a bare minimum of 40-60 grand. You should be grateful we are getting a game based on skill rather then a game based on the swiping of a credit card.
Another 0 poster complain about D4.
D4 rivals are in panic mode.
Surely you all have cell phones…
Games where 70$ in my county in the 90s when average salary in my country was 500$. So I dont complain about 100$ today, when we have average salary 1500€.
Every modern AAA game will be $70 and designed around paid cosmetics. The blockchain scammers are winning the fight.
In the last 5 years we’ve watched iconic studios collapse because investors forced their development studios to design exploitative content and live service games that would eventually groom their base for the blockchain. Blizzard is a predatory game designer. They were blockchain/NFT bros before it became popular with scammers and desperate investors. Square Enix sold Tomb Raider for 300 million dollars to invest in the blockchain.
There’s too many of the wrong kind of people attached to these franchises. Our only hope is Microsoft fires the entire Blizzard studio and gives the IP to Obsidian or some worthy developer who knows how to make full length games with no strings attached. The design core should be fun, not predatory. Everyone needs to take a break from AAA games and start supporting indie companies.
Don’t worry, I hear this fully more than funded game on purchase price has an in-game store too, so you aren’t looking inferior among other things. Stay tuned.
I paid 100 for the Ultimate edition. Money well spent for the entertainment value.
To be determined… The end game will be paid cosmetics because the game design is flawed.
Doesn’t matter how often 0 post people come in and make these, the same people still take the bait every single time, so I give them credit for success.
Lets be real, blizzard games aren’t even AA these days. At best they get a BBB if there is one person on the team with passion.
I agree, that’s true for most major publishers these days. I blame desperate and predatory investors for the decline in quality content.
That’s not how it works. People only buy cosmetics if they enjoy the game.
its because the us dollar has gone down in worth
People buy cosmetics to get around earning cosmetics, not because they like the game. It kills the spirit of the game by making legendary cosmetics standard. Paid cosmetics are the new legendary aesthetics and you won’t remember them after a year because you didn’t have to do anything special to earn them. Again, bad game design.
I don’t know what you are on about honestly but i really want a rocket for referring a friend to D4.
JOKES!
Certainly not the only way things work.
Heck, people are talking about how they are buying cosmetics with the preorders right now, which cant be because they are enjoying the game, since it is not playable right now.
US dollar might have come down a bit from an extremely high lvl, but it is still at a fairly high level.
$70 for games also happened before any of that.
I’ll guarantee you CT cost a fraction of what D4 costs with all the production costs involved and D4 will still be cheaper.
Because people EXPECT the game to be nice, so they are think getting extra cosmetics is a good idea for a game that they think will enjoy for a while.
