It’s strange to me that after all these years I don’t recall ever seeing Inarius buffed to be a top spec. It’s literally Windy druid from D2, which was one of the most popular and beloved playstyles, it would make for a fantastic speed build if buffed right, it could be a fun pushing build etc. It feels like the D3 dev team (and playerbase) really like really jank builds where you have to manage stacks, track CoE, stand in damage aura zones, etc. just to do weird burst rotations.
Like why aren’t the more fun simplistic themed builds the ones getting the buffs? Other classes get to use their brainless build, but it seems like necro, WD, and crusader are doomed to really jank mechanic sets.
Maybe for Grift pushing we should have weird niche button intensive micro manage style builds for the top end, but shouldn’t every class have a SUPER mindless chill speedfarm set? I can do 10 rifts on a monk/DH/Barb in the time it takes a Necro/WD/Crusader. In D3 you spend like 99% of your time speed farming, and 1% of it pushing hard rifts. So the majority of the time I personally just like chill builds that are satisfying to play.
There’s a reason GoD+UE DH, WW Barb, WoL Monk, etc. are the most popular builds. They are simple, they blast the whole screen, and they move SUPER fast. Give every class one of these. I know a long time ago chicken WD was like that but now it’s too weak to clear high enough content to be relevant, same with thorns Crusader, and Necro suffers from garbage mobility spells but if they had something to pair with Inarius to let them zoom with a cyclone of death it would be super good too.
So is GoD, WW barb, and WoL monk. They’re all 1 button builds that speedclear T16s or decently high GRs for exp/primals in sub 1-2 minute times, yet they are extremely popular because it’s 2023 and people care more about efficiency than engagement. If I can farm 10 primals a day on a meta build/class or 1 primal a day on a non meta build, why would I bother playing the non meta build/class? Why farm paragon on a class that takes a month to get where a different class can get there in the first weekend? We’re adults and our time is limited.
You mean… The bone spear build that requires ramp, cooldown rotations, all just to fire a small linear projectile? That one? Would you like to compare that to the screenwide clear of UE/GoD/WW/WoL/Meteor? All of which have faster movement/movement abilities?
Every build requires something. But bone spear necro has a 1 button build just like those you mentioned.
There is no small linear in the teeth rune either. It spreads quite good and with the boots, you got a speed farming build. Even inarius can be made into one.
You want it to get buffed, well a lot of builds need this.
But to say Necro lacks a 1 button build like those you mentioned, that is just wrong.
What cooldown rotations are there to manage in bone spear? Unless you die it is just recasting bone armour and blood rush when they are up. That is hardly something to even think about once you play it for a bit.
But yes, Inarius would be a cool set to buff for a lazy speed build.
Indeed. For example Trag’Oul Death Nova is pretty much another 1-button build. Gather enemies around you and start channeling Siphon Blood to autocast Death Nova. Not even necessary to manage cooldowns, rotations or anything else really.
“Gather enemies around you” just to channel to get off a single nova. Fun. My monk could’ve exploded an entire floor while you gather enemies and channel that. Good try though.
Single Nova? Have you even tried Trag’Oul Death Nova? While channeling Siphon Blood you’re blasting dozens of novas per second, tripled with Simulacrums.
Also gathering can be achieved by just jumping in the middle of a pack and starting to channel.
As Kirottu wrote, Necromancer got at least a couple of 1 button builds, that can also speed farm content. On top of that, bone spear necro is getting buffed.
So simply stating that Necro got no such builds as the others you made an example about, is wrong.
The first one acts like a nova, using ruthless to trigger bone armor at regular intervals, the second bases its damage on rotations (1 rotation = 1 powerful Stricken effect) and the last is a revival of Mirinae.
So OP. Do you have any sugeddtions or ideas at all, or just pissed that your preference set is aslo left behinde like: Pestilence, Seeker, Roland, Raiment, Uliana IK, Jade, Helltooth, Vyr?
