Why Gem should be stackable, its potential as a currency

I don’t mind if they are or aren’t, just saying I don’t think it’s super useful given the variety of them. I would think something like a special bag for runes/gems would be better.

Since runes/gems can be a key unit of transaction, I would like to secure mobility through stacking.

I’m ok with this for PGems. They don’t usually drop so much as get cubed up from flawless gems, and it would help in the Personal Stash.

But I’m not ok with runes or other cuts of gems stacking because that will significantly affect inventory management out in the field. Diablo 2 is supposed to make you think about what items you want to pick up or not pick up.

Are you really sure that was the true intentions of the game by the creators of Diablo 2? For example, David Brevik stated he wished he could of used personal loot.

If it wasn’t, they would have made everything stack. We know keys do, why don’t other things? (Other than potions, which obviously don’t stack because that would seriously affect survivability).

Thank goodness that never happened. There are serious economic problems with PLoot no matter how it is implemented (the exact problem varies depending on how it is implemented).

That’s a good point.
