Over 1000 levels, why hasn’t the Petrified Scream been dropped from the Great Secret Realm,Isn’t this the probability of someone’s unethical control?
Best way is in Greater Rifts. In modern days, pretty much any build can run GR 90 for the maximum amount of legendary drops.
Petrified Screams can only be obtained in GR. The drop rate is around 5%.
And it is not part of the loot, how to say that, “natural”, so we can get 12 legendary items (which is the maximum) plus PS.
RNG = RNG. Highly doubt you have run over 1000 GRs and no Screams. Drop rate is 1/20. Had 0 in 100 runs before and 3 in 3 runs. Just play, they will fall.
Scream drops are independent from the item drops. You have the same chance of getting one from running speed GR1s as you do from GR150s.
It’s a bit more than 1000 paragon points in season in the Asia region as I can see.
Petrified Screams are not apples on a tree. They just drop when they feel like it, but supposedly the average you expect them to drop are around every 16-22 Greater Rift clears. For sure, sometimes it takes way longer than it should be, but that’s just temporary.
Ah, so he meant GR levels. Which is meaningless when it comes to screams (which I know you know).
RNG be like that. I have two screams but zero ramalamadingdongs. I got the moo stick within 6 hours of starting my character, but it took me 3 days to get a single RoRG. I got squirt’s pretty quickly but I think I blew at least 20 rerolls before I got it socketed. ![]()
6.17 finally came out with the first Petrified Scream of the season.Level 1089.
I don’t think it’s supposed to fall off. Stop playing with it ![]()
I saw someone link they had like 100 of them the other day. How is it possible this early in the season? I played a lot already and maybe got like 15 of them so far
It’s a function of time and efficiency. If you’re speedrunning GR’s then you’re probably clearing one every 2 or 3 minutes tops. Pad that out to 5 minutes per on average just to account for salvaging and the occasional bio or snack break, and that’s still 12 runs per hour. Figure a dedicated person could play for 2 hours - 24 keys - straight before spending another hour farming up more keys. Now figure a “work day” of playing this game, 9 hours means 72 keys per day. Figure there’s been at least two weekends of season so far, that’s 288 keys.
The odds of dropping them are 5% per run, according to Google. So if we look here:
40% odds to see at least one in 10 runs. 92% to see one in 50.
Obviously these aren’t guaranteed and we’re only checking for “at least one” out of 50. Still, you figure these are conservative estimates across only grinding at level 70 for about 36 hours in total. It’s definitely possible if someone spends more time and is somewhat lucky and uses their time effectively.
Of course, there’s also the very real chance they could be botting. But, I think 100 keys by this point in the season is “believably possible,” is my point. I bet Wudijo has a crapton of them.
But they were already fully augmented and with like 3600 paragon. They did all this in a week?
Wudijo cleared GR150 with every single character class within the first week of this season. Not that I’m a particularly huge fan of his; I only know this because of the videos Darkness was posting here. I’m also not going to say for sure this guy you inspected was, or was not, on the up and up.
I’m just saying, if this were a court trial, I’d have to be honest and say there’s reasonable doubt the guy is guilty of cheating just based on what I’ve seen here so far. There’s plausible deniability giving him the benefit of this doubt.
(though if I’m being honest, I’ll admit I feel the odds of anyone being that dedicated without making a living off streaming games, are rather slim…)
So this person does not sleep or work or anything? They only play Diablo 3 constantly? Even on the toilet?
Put it this way. We can agree there ARE people decked out and clearing 150’s already, right? Or with full aug’s, or whatever other “unrealistic” criteria you wish to name. Either:
A.) There’s no single person on the face of the earth playing at that level legitimately within this current time frame,
or
B.) There’s at least one single person who is playing at that level legitimately within this time frame.
Which one is more likely to be true? A, or B?
So they are the single greatest D3 player ever? They require no sleep? They have no job because they have millions of dollars already?
Or do they bot?
Which is more likely?
They could be botting. Or they might not be. The point I’m trying to get at here is that you don’t know. You’re looking at a few indicators and going “I feel like that’s impossible.” I direct you to one of my favorite Skyrim quotes:
“Only a fool dismisses something outside of his experience as being impossible.” ~ Farengar Secret-Fire
Followed by one from Sherlock Holmes:
“When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.”
I’m just saying, if you’re going to throw the accusation that “full aug within 1 week = guaranteed cheater” then we have a LOT of people we need to ban. Including Wudijo.
Which again, maybe they’re all botting and deserve the bans! Or, maybe not. You’re arguing “because I can’t or otherwise won’t, nobody can or otherwise could” and I’m somewhat allergic to statements like that.
When it is someone’s job, such as a youtuber, it’s not too far from that.
Indeed. You figure, how many of us at our “9-to-5’s” poop at work? When you work from home, your home’s toilet is your office’s toilet.
