Why does +X Experience still exist?

This has never made any sense to me. Why do we have +experience affixes in the game, when they are so meaningless?

For example, I have a level 50 crossbow with “Monster kills grant +81 experience” What a useless bonus past your first few levels. I don’t mind that they nerfed the xp bonus past 70, years back. But how is an extra 81 xp going to be useful at level and beyond? Even if it’s multiplied by other xp bonuses, And I’m currently at 45.7%, it would have to be 1000% to be even close to meaningful when I need 14.5 million to level.

I hope junk like this is avoided in D4.

If a hero is in game with lvl 100 + GoE and “Monster Kill” on many pieces of gear then he will gain alot of XP as well as the other players in group.

Guess you’ve never been around something similar.
It is actually powerful.

Question:

Do you feel the same way about…

  1. health globes

and

  1. pickup radius

as useless junk?

More D3 savvy player can correct mo on this but the +81 monster exp is based on Normal difficulty and as you go above torment the difficulty has an exp multiplier accordingly

So what would 81 points come to for a single player with no other exp bonuses at Torment 16?

I cannot post links but of you look at diablo 3 difficulty at d3resource T16 has a 17000% multiplier

  • No, these serve other purposes beside the healing, which is helpful on its own.
  • No, I actually wish I could get more for my necro’s aura. Plus, picking up globes can be helpful in a number of builds.

If level difficulty does increase the amount, then it’s not reflected in the Details section. I know there is a multiplayer bonus, but I didn’t know the individual xp bonuses were shared with the group.

So if you’re getting the difficulty multiplier, plus the group multiplier, and benefit from other player’s bonuses, then it might be good. But is it better than anything else that could roll (other than lower level requirements)?

It’s one of those things that I ignored because it didn’t seem that great and now after finding soooo many pieces of gear with this affix, started wondering why it’s even in the game. Even with 17000% it seems insignificant in the face of billions and billions of required xp.

Well I got a character with 1200-1300 +xp per monster kills and I can tell that paragon level going up a bit faster, I still don’t know if this stats is useful for the Rift & GR bars

You could ask yourself why D3 turned into a race of how quickly you kill enemies by holding your lmb or rmb and even get extra experience for these ridiculous “killing sprees” instead of tactically thinking of killing off worrysome foes first and then which second.
The looting world is ridiculious as well there are no interesting ways to get loot its mostly elites kills or just open bounty treasures instead of treasures hidden in the world or from random opening different kind of chests or for example destroying jars, instead you get an extra movement speed buff instead to race even faster, wth.

There is just no interesting loot in D3 and its just a race game who kills most enemies faster, few repetitive item affixes for every item and whoever gets most legendaries/sets in every single bounty chest or GR boss.
