Haven’t been invited, but a 2 act 3 class early alpha probably doesn’t need a giant army of players yet to test.
I am curious about the limited timing of the alpha tests. Giving people access to an offline game to test for only a few days seems interesting. Does the launcher just lock you out after the test is over? You can’t manually go to the D2:R folder and just start the executable after the test is over? Are people invited to the first test automatically part of all future phases (that’s how Blizzard alpha/betas usually work)?
Help noob streamer playing Diablo 2 for 24 hours instead of playing it yourself … well, i can help if i don’t get a key 
Mainly the streamers who got a key and played for 3-4 hours and haven’t touched it since. That one gets me a lil jealous.

i got an invitation. BUT how come the game doesn’t open after i click the play button?? a blank screen appears, then disappears, then the play button is active again. all hardware requirements have been met (and exceeded, lol).
Sounds like it doesn’t like your specific hardware setup, did you try restarting your pc?

It might be good enough to run it, just the game doesn’t like the combo.
i5, 8gb ram, 6gb video. should the d2r be installed where the d3 files are?
Doesn’t sound right. Are video drivers up to date? Do you have any antivirus running that maybe blocking it?
I’m not sure, I never really used the bnet launcher before. Only downloaded it for D2R.
Video drivers are updated. D3 plays fine. Arrghhh excitement gone lol

Restart your PC. Sometimes after an install, programs may have issues running. Usually a reset can fix that. If its not, find the game client exe and run it as admin.
