What happens first? The Alpha showing up on your launcher menu or an email? Or is it simultaneous?
Does it just activate automatically on your launcher if you get selected?
From what Iāve heard its launcher first but both within about 10 minutes of each other

You can use the tool to upgrade on the system, or to create a USB Windows installation media. Iād also recommend upgrading your system firmware with the latest update if it isnāt already. Backing up your data beforehand is also recommended just in case something goes poof.
Itās about time to get a new laptop. Too bad the PC market is stupid right now. 
Do you have to reboot launcher to trigger the update/install option? OR does it on its own?

If you are in but donāt see the option refresh your launcher. If you arenāt in though that wonāt change anything.
You have to manually start the install
The sad thing is many of them are so dang boring to watch.
Thing that bothers me is there is people on Twitch that didnāt even opt into beta that got access ā¦ Seriously just because your community bugs Twitch to give the streamer a key ā¦ Sorry I just feel when you say sign up for āALPHAā, lets be honest āDemo / PR Testāā¦ You should give it to the people that signed up.

I remember when I first got Diablo, then trying to play D2 on my parents old business pc it ran meh but it ran.
Donāt count on it go watch a movie.
I have a theory. They do not give alpha to those who want it really bad. But if you dont really desire for alpha - they will give it to you. Let me check it.

I want D2R alpha on a middle level, not very hyped about it and dont really waiting for it!

I have installation media for the Desktop and the PC has NOTHING on it except Malwarebytes, Firefox with ad and script blockers, and Bnet. I put WoW on it yesterday to be sure it played games. It does.
It is a Franken-computer. Made up of cast off parts when friends upgraded. Various people sent me things so that when I hit the end of gaming on my Laptop I could still play. It has a GTX 970 I think so should hold me over for a while.
I can say after finishing the Den of Evil. The game is beautiful and plays like silk. I justā¦ I am being punched in the nostalgia feels so hard!

gtx 970 still will get you medium low on top end games and prob high or max settings in Diablo 2 I have an old laptop that has the 980m which prob sits just about desktop 970 or about in between the 970 and desktop 980 ā¦ Most games run just fine the only game I ever had issue with was Warzoneā¦

I am going to still try putting it on my laptop even though the graphics card on this is a GT 650M. We shall see. If nothing else, I can experience the graphics errors and help others with things.
If you have the gddr 5 version of the card you maybe ok, if you have the ddr 3 version of it Good luck it may run at least on old graphics it should be fine but new visuals may strain it. At least it will run as the 600 series line desktop and m versions support pixel shadier 5.1
