Just came back to the game after a few years. Gotta say it’s still fun, and I’m still not sure what people are whining about.
At least that’s what I was saying until I reached the point where I have to do the “Speed Demon” conquest. What mоrоn came up with that idea, seriously? Maybe it was doable back when rifts were actually full of monsters, but now the rifts are so frustrating and unsatisfactory, I wanna kill myself every time I enter one. Seriously, either fix the rifts to include at least twice as many monsters, or change the requirement. I want to play one character per season, not 2, not 3. This is the only conquest left that’s possible with 1 character. But hey, unless I’m a WW barb with super speed, I can’t do that.
Seriously, I want to physically hurt the man who came up with that conquest.
Every conquest in this season is doable with one character. If you can’t complete the speed demon, then go for Avarice or Boss Mode. Both of them are easy.
Actually yes, you can. Just reroll the normal rift until you get the open map Rift where it tends to have a lot of monsters and elites in the same map.

Masters of the Universe (master 8 of the following set dungeons) conquest is literally impossible to do with 1 character, unlike Speed Demon. And I rather have Speed Demon as conquest than Sprinter (clear act 1-5 in 1 hr).
Read it wrong.
You don’t need Speed Demon to get 3 conquests this season. Avarice (easily done with Boon of the Hoarder), Boss Mode (can be done with every class), Divinity were my choices as Speed Demon can be iffy with some classes (and this season, I’m only playing 1 char per region), and it often makes you forfeit all the drops but only focusing on clearing.
But if you insist on doing it, your barb will surely be able to do it (don’t pick up anything. focus only on speed, like wearing Warzechian bracers). Or, I’m sure key farmers in public room wouldn’t mind some closing the rift early (you have to forfeit most of the drops in public room also).

I completed season journey on both EU and American servers using a Barb. I made a WD and a DH on EU side afterwards, simply because I enjoy playing them more, but no reason you have to use more than 1 class. As noted above, do Avarice, Boss Mode and Divinity.
wait isn’t Speed Demon conquest T10 under 2 mins
You realise that these conquests don’t need to be done solo, right? That means you could just join public T16 rift groups and you’ll incidentally get the conquest when a good open map comes into the rotation and all four of you have split up. As soon as you see the completion bar approaching full, teleport to town, and when you see the text in chat that the guardian has died, talk to Orek to complete the rift (and get the conquest) then use the banner of the player that killed the guardian to teleport to them to get the keys / loot.
This conquest is so trivial I got it on day 2 or 3 of the season.

I went solo to start the season (I boosted a few clanmates later on, but I was solo until after I finished the conquests).
I got rank 13 (NA) for Speed Demon. I was the first solo “group”, there were 3 groups of 4 in front of me. I got rank 9 for Boss Mode. I was the first “solo” group, there were 2 groups of 4 in front of me.
All conquests are soloable if you are motivated enough. Some are just more difficult than others.
Divinity: 3hr45 min into season
Speed Demon: 4hr1 min into season
Avarice: 4hr31 min into season
Boss Mode: 4hr53 min into season
Masters of the Universe: next day, I went to sleep shortly after Boss Mode and had to do some stuff through the day on Saturday
I finished 4 of the 5 conquests by the 5 hour mark into the season running solo. Set dungeons took a bit longer.

You just need a speed build with decent AoE. Yeah it can take a bit of fishing considering there’s so many
tilesets/monster group selection instances.
But it’s a lot more doable-faster solo than Boss Mode - and that’s an easy one as well.
I got Avarice and speed deamon done by accident. Like everytime actually😊 They are the easiest conquests by far.
Just to clarify - the only other conquest left for me is the set dungeon one, and I’m not intending to waste my time on that piece of garbage.
As for the good open rifts - from about 200 I did, and about 100 more that I just opened and looked at, only 2 were saturated with monsters. One I failed with about 2:13 time, and the other one was going well until all of a sudden there were no monsters around.
As for Boss Mode - I found that to be really easy. I’ve done it on the very first try. Last season with demon hunter (I joined at the very end) and this season with a wizard. I can’t do it with a wizard, and I don’t want to level and gear a barbarian speed build just for 1 conquest…
It’s not a conquest. It’s a seasonal objective.
I completed Speed Demon on a Masquearade Necromancer this Season.
Every class has as close to a speed build as possible. Here is my attempt this season, took a bit of fishing for the right rift to get it done (start at the 21:14 mark): Redirecting...
Like stated above, just join random T16 rift groups. I’ve prob completed the conquest several times over in just random groups. Since you need to run for keys anyway, you’ll see enough runs to where some are quicker then 2mins (along with the tips above to speed it up).
I mean seriously, there are worse conquests then Speed Demon and this season’s 3 are basically cakewalk to get.

I completed Speed Demon without even trying, the 1st time I joined a public rift game to farm for keys. It’s seriously that easy for me every season when this conquest is available.
Solo players who refuse to group for anything are weird.
Plus if you “are” doing the SSF then pretty much every class has a stupid fast build and If i recall the conquest, it only has to be done on T10 so in full builds, a gust of wind kills enemy at that level.
Understandable, but you can cheese it. Group up, 4 man, each goes in his own direction. Do it on a difficulty where you can easily solo the boss. It won’t take too many runs. That’s how I got it done w/ a Tal’s Frozen Orb wizard.
I guess I’m weird, then. Have accomplished every season objective I’ve ever done completely solo. Have completed every season I have ever played in, completely solo.

extremly easy to complete as a single player, you just need to make a build that move fast, kill a fast and ignore all drops and teleport to town asap when the GR die and talk to Orek.
cakewalk

I just did Speed Demon for the very first time ever and soloed it. It only took a slightly tweaked GoD build and some rift fishing. Easy to do solo.
As stated, it really only needs a fast moving and clearing build. Also keep in mind you need to do it T10 or above. By dropping to T10 you can potentially sacrifice damage for mobility.
Another hint for fishing: if you get the act V cemetery tileset at the rift start, go for it! You should have very good chances to succeed.
