Whisper of Atonement lvl 125 Should Be the Last Alter Goal

Rationale is that to get a Legendary Gem leveled to 125 you’d need to run GRs of that level or greater. So having two Alter seals hidden behind running solo GRs @ 100 & 110 seems like they’re out of order when you need to get the Whisper of Atonement lvl 125 ‘BEFORE’ you can get to the GR 100 and GR 110 Seals.
The only rationale I can remotely think of for the current Alter Seal order is that someone thinks that you’ll be running higher levels GRs with your buddies.
But the order is currently wrong.

The order is correct.

You upgrade to a Whisper in Echoing Nightmares, which is much easier than a GR 110, especially with the seasonal buffs.

By this argument, they should make it first. Requires a little bit of time, but no real progression.

My experience is you can often get level 125 Whispers of Atonement when you’re still only clearing GRIFTs level 100, more or less.

Running 125 EN’s is all about managing the pylons. Most guides tell you to wait to level 100 (when the green meteors start falling) then click them. And with the potion buffs (I’ve managed to pull shields in about half the EN runs) plus the ability to walk thru walls and ignore CC from the altar getting to level 125 should be fairly easy this season. None of the “reach this level” type requirements for the altar are that hard. Heck, besides pointless grinding none of the sacrifice items are “hard” just tedious. That said I think quite a few people will be rage posting in the forums about some of the requirements depending on whether or not Blizzard buffs the chances of finding some of the rarer drops.

With the Echoing Nightmares its pretty easy to get the 125 gem. Especially with a group and a half decent build. I found a few of the builds I played for pushing or farming were absolutely terrible at Echoing Nightmares so I just did them in groups with other to help, but next season I am going to make a character/build that is specifically for Echoing Nightmares.
