Pretty new to the game.
Trying to utilize this seasons soul shards to augment some of my gear. So far I put vitality on my whirlwind barb’s helmet not knowing what I was doing, and strength on another piece of gear. I’m more of a casual player, so I have at least enough gems for one more aug (two if I take gems out of my gear) and hopefully can get enough for another one by the end of season.
She also has a leapquake build and savage frenzy build, which aren’t as strong but also don’t have as many ancient pieces and the two augs.
What would you do? Would you stick with augmenting the whirlwind barb, or spread some love to the other two instead?
Thanks,
Ryan
Personally I would augment your pieces by whichever has the best/highest overall required stats regardless of what build you are playing.
Unless you have no plans to ever play the other sets, then focus on the ones which again have the best/highest desired stats.
You could also choose to augment follower items as well, if your playing mostly solo
I really have no idea what’s good stats. Any sources for this?
The first one went on the helmet because I was under the wrong impression that you would get all of the soul shard’s qualities by doing this.
The second I put on a piece that had like 20k health per hit because I like getting that bonus.
Thanks

Yeah follow these guides, it will give you an idea as to what stats and priority (for re-rolling bad ones off to desireable ones).
It will make a huge difference in your gameplay… you just might have to adjust your playstyle to suit what the build requires if you really want it to excel.
Yes, personally I would.
Caldesann’s Despair augments for WW/Rend Barb should be Strength, on all slots.

Augment whatever you want during the season and, if it does not work, augment it with something else like Strength instead of Vitality. A second or third augment replaces the one it had before.
So, it is pretty easy during the current season to test various augments to see what works best for you - maybe you need Diamonds for a while and then decide you need more Vitality.
Diamonds don’t work for augmenting.
Go for strength on a Barb when augmenting. If need more vitality, play around with paragon points. Those can be changed around as needed and don’t cost mats.

They should.
Doesn’t really matter though and is tangential to the point.
