Hi, looking for advice. I only have 3 Ethereal weapons, one with the dagger of darts affix, one with firebats, and one where spirit walk lasts longer. Can anyone suggest a suitable build for any of them?
More important would be knowing which Ethereals you have rather than which powers they have. Unlike most others, the WD Ethereals buff specific skill categories instead of all skills. For example Arioc’s Needle buffs Decay skills, making it very suitable for Spirit Barrage builds like Mundunugu but worthless for many other builds.
The first 2 have buff to secondary skills, while the last has voodoo
skill.
None of those is ideal. I’d try to reroll one of the Ghostflames to suit Jade Harvester.
A little preview:
Sadly, Spirit Walk kept the previous legendary power (Thanks Blizzard…) and Firebats is depending on your style of play (Useless especially for pushing, the Arachyr set having changed)
There is still the option to re-roll one of those in the cube with Recipe 2, to get a usable one, and than wait for a better one to drop.
As mentioned before Ghostflame, maybe for a farming Jade Harvester build, don’t even need to re-roll it, for start, just use it for the damage bonus. Or one of the Gidbinn’s for a Helltooth Gargantuan farming build.
However, based on what you have, I would wait for an Arioc’s Needle to drop and then try to get either a Spirit Barrage power (for Munudunugu) on it or Zombie Bears (for Helltooth).
Thanks for your advice!
So I got the Arioc’s, and very nice too. But if I used the Cube recipe 11 to roll it into a primal, I think it could roll any of the 5 legendary skills available?
From the Patch Notes which introduced the 11th Cube recipe…
We have also added a Primal Item recipe to Kanai’s Cube, allowing you to upgrade any non-crafted legendary item to a Primal Item for 100 Primordial Ashes. Only one upgraded Primal Item may be worn at a time and upgraded Primal Items do not retain the properties of the Legendary Item that was used. New affixes are rolled for all upgraded Primal Items.
So, yes, if you primalise an ethereal, all of its affixes are re-rolled, including the class-specific power.
