Where's my Mundunago set?

I have V 2.6.8.6666 installed… but solo’d my witch doctor to 70, and I get Arachyr’s set parts!!! WTH?

That is correct - Arachys is the starting set reward for WD in s20 completing chapters 1 to 4.

Mundunago set was introduced for s20/patch 2.6.8, but it is not the season chapter 1-4 reward for WD. You will have to farm it the normal way you do every other set/item…

edit: see:

search for “Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 20” in the page to get to the part of the blog that talks about the starting s20 sets for each character class…

Hope this helps!

Well poo. I was misinformed. I was only willing to give S20 a chance because of that misinformation. I’m not farming again. I’m sick of every season being the same thing. Ah well.

Use the Arachyr to farm for Mundunugu, how hard is that? Upgrade rare staff in the cube and you’d get the Firebat buff in no time. That thing alone with the set can get you to GR70 without a sweat.

There was no misinformation from Blizzard. Looks like you relied on outside sources, and did not do your own “due diligence”.

There was no misinformation. You just misread, misinterpreted, or just wished for rewards that were never in the game. It’s on you, not Blizz or whatever sketchy source you used.

The new sets are NOT included in Haedrig’s Gift pool, because that feature was implemented to assist with completing/mastering a set dungeon faster - giving you a full set quicker.

And no, the new sets don’t have their own dungeons either.

I think Blizzard missed the mark with these new sets in not having them in the gift their first time out. I would be more inclined to check out the wizard, WD, or the monk if their sets were gift rewards. Barbarian and Crusader were gonna get played since those are my go to’s.

The reason they didn’t do this is because of the staggered nature in which new sets are being rolled out to the classes. Haedrig’s Gifts sets currently rotate every season. Having some classes rotate every 4, and others every five, would mean they’d get out of synch. I suspect the earliest we might see new sets in the gifts will be in 2.6.9 / Season 21, when DH and Necro get their new sets.

Which makes even bette reason to do it. You can try at least one easily each season until they become part of the rotation. Who really cares if they get out of sync. Sick of seeing the same groupings all the time.

Like I said, I would have tried the monk last season if it was on the gift. But nop fiddled around for only a couple weeks on my Crusader and stopped. Would have definately checked out a WD or Wizard this season, but nope, gonna fool around with my bard fir a couple of weeks then stop.

You weren’t misinformed. You either misread or misunderstood things. The blogs clearly stated that a new set was being introduced for 2.6.8/s20, not that it would be the haedrig’s gift set.

Farming is a p.i.t.a, with terrible drop rates for anything worthwhile in the game (since Blizzard pushes with terrible RNG mechanisms and weighting).
