Hi everyone, pardon the dumb question but I’ve looked extensively on here and the FAQ and I cannot find the option to download the early access closed beta. I prepurchased the game back in February so I should be able to play.
Can anyone offer any guidance?
In the Battle.net desktop app:
You should see this when clicking the pulldown tab next to the globe. By default, “Diablo II: Resurrected” has a green checkmark by it. If you can see “Beta”, click it, then try clicking “Install” again.
If you don’t see “Beta”, try restarting your Battle.net desktop app, or just restart your computer.

Thank you this is very helpful. I don’t see beta which makes me think there’s something wrong with my preorder not being recognized
try restarting the bnet launcher app if it’s still not their make sure your account history shows the pre order in store purchases.
I just checked my transaction history and I purchased the Diablo® Prime Evil Upgrade February 20th, 2021 for $49.99 because I thought this gave some sort of beta access. I guess it does not count toward my pre order?
Also tried restarting the app as well
Yea it’s not there
I’ll try and contact support.
what does it say when you go to
https://us.battle.net/shop/en/checkout/upgrade/cHw5MjMwMjgxNHwxNjgzMDR8MHx8fHx8fHwxfDB8MHx8MA==
I had to download a battle net update before i could preload, may check that out

Your ability to post here means that the forums do recognize that you have the pre-purchase for D2R on your account. The website also lets me pre-purchase it again because you can gift it.
As long as you did not refund it, or have the purchase fail, then you should be set.
To download the game before tomorrow do the following:
- Close your launcher and restart, or just reboot the PC.
- Go to your D2R tab at the top OR go to ALL GAMES at the top left and select D2R.
- Go to the drop down over the Play button and select Beta.
- The install button should become interactive and let you pre-download.
Early Access Beta starts tomorrow at 10am PDT (so convert to your timezone).
Yes, the launcher may need to restart and update to pick up the proper account flagging.
It says good news you already own this product
well that’s good the flag is there i would try restarting pc and then checking for a bnet update and see if that doesn’t work.
Thanks for the reply, I restarted and downloaded the bnet client update but still no go. I only have options for Diablo 3 and the PTR, no beta
ohh i think i know the problem

click on all games > blizzard > diablo 2 resurrected i also suggest clicking on the star in upper left corner of the game selection artwork to favorite Diablo II: resurrected so it will show up on the quick bar up along the top.

Go to ALL GAMES at the top Left.
Click it
Find D2R and select that. It looks similar.
Then use the drop down to select the Beta.
There should be a new Diablo II Icon on the Gamesbar on the Battle net App by now
He just needs to go to All Games and select it so it adds to favorites at the top.
He is currently looking at D3 instead of D2R.
