Where are the DH players?

I was looking at poll results. Seems many of us want to play with Chakram.

Chakram can be used with UE and Marauders. Anyone knows what is our strongest build with Chakram right now? I think it should be with Marauder. No need for Chakram offhand if we are using Vengeance + Dawn + CC3. Hatred regen is high enough to keep us close to max all the time.

Sword has bigger damage than 1H Xbow. And Sword can’t roll 12 discipline as secondary. For Chakram to work with UE we need to use Chakram offhand (generates 4 hatred) so UE set counts skill as generator.

Anyone remember when this was a thing:

Chakram with Marauder and Shadows  Did not survive PTR.

The problem with that build at the time, if I recall correctly is it was too tough when compared to other classes. It wasn’t the damage really, I think, but that whether you played it as S4/M4 or S2/M4, it was tougher than every other class and so was easier to play than most other builds.

That’s why so many of us loved it. But that was what 10 maybe 12 seasons ago? If we had that build today, it wouldn’t even sniff our best builds.

It was pretty fun though. I was really disappointed when it got poofed.

We would be in meta if it was not nerfed. So Blizzard could not allow that.

Because there is no animation for that in the char model.
Some skills require ranged weapons (I think thats also unique in D3?), and S2 requires a melee weapon. If we could equip both, we could it combine to S2N6, which woul be probably a little bit to powerful.

But yeah, the main reason is probably the class fantasy. We are either ranged killers, or silent melee assassins, but not both at the same time.

Oh yes, I member! :grapes: :grapes:

During that time I was called a nasty troll, and players like me were the reason why we can’t have nice things. Just because I called this a bug, which would have destroyed totally our class intern balance and build diversity.

No doubt, Hebalon.

On that PTR, I was a completely junk player not able to complete GRift 35. I put that build on and I beating Grift 50 and climbing. I mean, I had no skill at all at the game at that time but that build was rocketing me up the GRift levels like I was some kind of game savant, comparatively speaking.

N6M4 Chakram is strongest, on PTR i just ran a GR115 with it in 13:33.

It’s for the same reason why N6M4 Cluster Arrow is stronger than M6 Cluster Arrow. M6 Cluster Arrow only becomes balanced with N6M4 when Hellcat Waistguard is used.

I am not speaking about Bow + Dager or Bow + Sword. I am speaking about Dagger + Dagger or Sword + Dagger.

Aquila should be stronger than Garwolf in cube? I go play with it a bit also.

Aquila will not work cause you’re going to lose hatred. Garwulf is like fixed 50% DR, it’s better.

Did they do something to Sword of Ill Will? Is it in the patch notes?

naw, same piece of junk –

Oh, you had me excited there for a moment. I take it that Cluster Arrow is the best option for the build still.

Shoot! I’d crap if they would every give Sword of Ill Will a 3 or 4X boost.

I wanted to test with build where you have max hatred. To know how much of a buff Sword of ill will needs.

Why Physical rune btw? If I remember correctly each Chakram can hit 1 enemy only once.

Edit: Did 100 with M6 really easy. 105 with M6 should be ez. Used Cold rune. Now I go to N6/M4

Yeah, sorry, next time I’ll run CC3A3M4 Multishot and try GR105+.

OHHHH, you got jokes!

LOL!!!

Edit:

And I just checked… This thread only has 6 less replies than the “can we get an official response about offline mode” thread.

Coool. We’re bound to be noticed now!

Just kidding. Like I said, I’m pretty sure Nevalistus has been monitoring the thread since that first night.

Lol GR110 down with CC3A3M4. Kiss it 6pc set bonuses!

Now that’s a reason to buff legendary items.

Test Chakram with Cold rune. It should be stronger.

I put this in the Discipline to Witching Hour thread on the DH forums but it could go here as well.

A way to boost some our sets without messing with too many items or the set bonuses themselves would be to add a multiplier onto Wraps of Clarity.

Change that bonus to something like "Every time you use a hatred generator, your hatred spenders deal XXX% more damage and you take XX% less damage for X seconds. Our builds wouldn’t lose any damage resistance and more than just our UE build would be improved.

What do ya’ll think?

OK I figured that sentries are dealing damage from far away only with Physical rune.
