If they wish to destroy this game once and for all, just keep this season 200 day’s like Season 28, lol.
The soonest they can end would be 2/2. I would imagine they are still looking into what happened. They do not want to end the season during the Anniversary Event, although that could be an option if their investigation finds the worst case scenario. In that case, next Sunday would be the soonest. If it was a case of internal hard code gone wrong and a genuine mistake, the first date would make sense. If it was a New Year’s Resolution type deal, who knows, but it could be a hard reset. In that case, a date of 4/6 to 5/4 would make sense.
When they finish their investigation, there should a statement from Blizzard regarding the situation. When that happens depends on the nature of the incident.
