Based on what is said in the stickied thread about the password length update June 9th might be the official patch date. If we calculate from there backwards, giving two weeks for the PTR and at least a week for finalizing the patch, hopefully the PTR opens at some point this week. Otherwise it’ll cut really close and the patch might end up a massive screw up again.
Of course I’m making a big assumption here that the 9th is the official patching day. The patching day is not officially set in stone yet. All that is certain is it’ll be Tuesday.

PTRs now last 2 weeks. Patches are applied between seasons to live servers. As we’re now around four weeks away from when S20 would normally have ended, if the PTR was going to be soon, it should have already been announced / available.
You’re more likely to get an announcement that S20 is being extended.

If i was blizzard id probably extend the season by a month or two and argue with corona things.
That way i wouldve won up to 2 months of time i wouldnt need to progress work on a old game that i almost get no money from anyways.

Honestly, I hope the better, but I highly doubt any patch will correct the major flaws of the game.

I think it’s a bit late for that anyway.
I for one am waiting for to test the new sets and the builds which they bring. DH and necro are currently at the bottom of the overall power scale and desperately need some love.

- PTR for Patch 2.6.8 began on 02/06/2020 (Thursday) or 36 days before Season 20 start (03/13/2020). PTR lasted 2 weeks.
- PTR for Patch 2.6.7 began on 10/17/2019 (Thursday) or 36 days before Season 19 start (11/22/2019). PTR lasted 1 week but we had patches 2.6.7a and 2.6.7b also.
- PTR for Patch 2.6.6 began on 07/25/2019 (Thursday) or 29 days before Season 18 start (08/23/2019). PTR lasted 1 week.
Based on this we can expect PTR lead time of 36 days again.
We usually see 12 days between season end and next season start.
- If Season 20 is going to last 93 days or until 06/14/2020 (Sunday) and Season 21 to start on 06/26/2020 (Friday) we can assume that PTR should start on 05/21/2020 (Thursday).
- If Season 20 is going to last 100 days or until 06/21/2020 (Sunday) and Season 21 to start on 07/03/2020 (Friday) we can assume that PTR should start on 05/28/2020 (Thursday).
- If Season 20 is going to last 107 days or until 06/28/2020 (Sunday) and Season 21 to start on 07/10/2020 (Friday) we can assume that PTR should start on 06/04/2020 (Thursday)
- If Season 20 is going to last 114 days or until 07/05/2020 (Sunday) and Season 21 to start on 07/17/2020 (Friday) we can asume that PTR should start on 06/11/2020 (Thursday).
So far PTR was usually announced 3-6 days before its start usually on Mondays (shorter period) and sometimes on Fridays (longer period).
Lets hope we get some news on 18th May or at least on 25th May.

Yes, because we don’t know how long season is going to be and if covid-19 situation prolonged things. We also don’t know if new CM team is going to change schedule for PTR announcements.
We know that lately the longest Season was Season 16 (114 days).
We also know that community dislikes seasons that are much longer than 90 days.

I think we will all be in for a big shock, if the new team actually participates on the forum on a regular bases that is. I will not count on it be we will see. Hope springs eternal.

Well it seems to have been postponed, likely due to the schedule leak in the forum post. All there is to do is wait until the devs are ready to show what they’ve been up to
At least he waited till there was about a month left in Season 20. What about all the tools that asked that question before the 30 day marker.
Heck, I for one am curious about the PTR start date. I played Season 20 almost daily for the first month, then it got boring as heck. Even after a friend told me that Blizz doubled the goblins, I only played a few times from then till now.
I am more interested in what Blizz has in store for us in Season 21, especially with the DH. New set? This should be interesting? Some tweaks to other DH sets? That would be a plus.
I’d say don’t get your hopes up. If it’s anything like most of the other new sets it’s just going to be copy pasta from a skill some other set already buffs.
At least blizz can give us an update if the season 20 longer than the normal ~100 days because corona things or coming soon the ptr
I guess we have to wait another week…ptr is usually on Thursday I believe…I’m hoping next season gives something good to dh and a good season theme…I quit pretty much after 3-4 weeks when I got 150/4 142/3 and a few decent solo clears… the theme was boring, rat runs were back, and no love for demon hunters… overall I was disappointed from the beginning hopefully ptr comes soon and it’s worth hyping people up to come back…
Not a single bluepost beside that scheduled password post and lame goblin announcement.
So disgusting to work with these CM’s.
I thought they learned their part in this.

I think i have 0 hope to see a well designed DH set. No expectations.
