Where do I begin? Yeah I am mad gamers needed to be treated fairly and evenly.
Stop and imagine this happpend to the pc version nobody would buy it.
Nintendo Switch version missing 4 players.
This is why we didn’t get a beta the fear about how d2 players would feel after they would see this. But really why cut 4 players out.
So with out 8 people its going to be pretty much harder out the gate to get anything done. Uber diablo will probably take forever to appear now. Ubers will just be harder to fight unless you actually have 4 people who know what they are doing
So now we’re missing
Lobbies
Chat
A zoom feature added to diablo 2 resurrected!(not to be confused with screen resolution. Yes!! There was someone out their who doesn’t know the difference.)
And the nintendo switch lost 4 people out 8 before their journey could even begin.
What makes this worth $40? What makes this worth more then classic d2 now? Where is we aren’t going to change d2 psh! Wow I wish I could go back just play diablo 2 classic but I can’t i don’t have a computer anymore
Thank you blizzard for convincing me not to buy diablo 2 resurrected when the remaster stopped being a remaster.

Nintendo Switch hardware probably cant handle 8 players, its not like they decided to make it 4 players out of malice or whatever you think. Im surprised they managed to make it run and release it to begin with. And portable D2? Crazy.
By Uber Diablo you mean Diablo Clone? We still don’t know how it will work completely. Console and PC counter could be shared even if crossplay doesnt exist.
As for Ubers how it will be harder? Ubers is done solo, doing it with many people is not efficient, you just bring a half-assed smiter with G-Face, Duress, Black and a Life Tap wand and you are good to go alone.
All things aside, Diablo II is a classic PC game, if you want the true experience play it on PC, console ports are just meant for sitting back and play in a chill way.
The complexities and precision needed to play dont translate well to a controller.
Like hovering over all the champions/uniques to see the mods they spawned with quickly, or spamming teleports at specific parts in the screen or even opening the stats/skills screen to increase range, game is filled with nuances like that that do not translate well to a console experience.
The problem is rationales like yours are part of the reason the console versions are going to be subpar. They weren’t willing to put in the effort to make them as good as the original because there’s a perception of consoles being for the “less capable.”
I can play PoE on the ps4 just fine. They didn’t change anything other than add an auction house for trade but now there’s chat on ps4 PoEso a lot of people use chat to trade instead of the wonky unreliable AH (go figure even ggg realized console need chat instead of their bad AH).
Despite that PoE on ps4 is plagued with performance issues (as the game is on PC too). I had hoped that d2 would push out a solid experience on consoles and show up poe. Now both will be an embarrassment to be played in consoles.
I just wanted 1 good online arpg on console but there still won’t be one. I mean frankly it’s embarassing.

As it is for a diablo experience on consoles. I would rather play path of exile and I have played on the ps4 and for me…again for me its been fine. Controller worked very well I was hoping for d2r to be similar and it is but its not refined enough. Like in diablo 2 r right now the right stick does nothing but emote wheel. Path of exile I can pick what item I want, instead of d2r I have to stand on each item.
And besides cut features diablo 2 resurrected just lacks refinement. So after all the changes they made 1 thing they couldn’t have made easy was put a quick tab or quick sort for your postions to your belt…like seriously how. its the biggest oversight i have seen true quality game testing is dead.

The only problem with PoE on ps4 is the bad performance especially during the start of a league.

And consoles vs pc is dumb argument nowadays anyway neir automata was broken until game pass came around. Sony is bringing the game and putting their games on pc. Not everyone can buy a pc or laptop not everyone has a working pc and some people have a computer that just broke. I already own diablo 2 classic and I cant play it cause my only computer broke. Why is it oh I need a pc for a game that is being made into a remaster and that remaster is being made for consoles…for consoles bring diablo 2 to consoles…so honestly if your job while make a game or remaster is to basically make the game why not actually make sure things like chat, lobbies, 8 player support . Can be 1 developed and 2 actually work instead what they are doing now making a game then taking it apart and making dump party finder matchmaking and building around it

The only thing that i would blame Blizz is to inform all these prior 2 weeks before the launch. If this was mentioned shortly after the remaster announcement, it would already put players expectation on check. Now that we are going to get this in 2 weeks, this kinda news are just inviting more disappointed players.
As workable as the control is for d2r on console, bringing up how it works perfectly like looting the items or enemies targeting just feels like a cheap bait. People who didn’t play the beta surely will feel cheated and people who played the beta knows how bad it was on the control. Dont get me wrong, controller is fine but not as great as how they define it in their article.

Uber diablo was talked about
Its still selling rings soj
Sp 1
Battle net was 75 and a lower number i cant remember could be 50 to 55.
This game needs some serious care on console a port should have gave us lobbies and a way to communicate keyboard/mic… not software from the home screen of the console.

Another problem i have is if you go back and watch the diablo at the 28:20min (or somewhere close to that they said 8 players works among other things.)

You could easily find a computer for $40 that will run the OG D2/LoD.
