What's Blizz's stance on streamers who verbally abuse members of this community?

I disagree for the simple reason, Mozart, Jimi Hendrix, Pasteur, Jenner, Einstein, DaVinci and the list goes on would never have existed if they marched to the beat of everyone else’s drum. Some people care what other people think, others do not.
These types of people are also part of society.
Anyway - We are going off topic. cheers.

source? or link of the streamer clip?

I personally feel that Blizzard is the one at fault for the whole Lamentation mess, why would they let streamers have the new patch in the first place to show off at BlizzCon, when they should have gone threw the proper channels and released the Patch Notes to the general public in the first place?
If that picture of the Lamentation belt was a mistake that Fluffy showed, with the “we are going to communicate better” promise, Blizzard could of put this kerfuffle to bed shortly after the picture was shown.
If that picture of the Lamentation belt wasn’t a mistake, why the heck have Blizzard let this wound fester for a whole week with zero communication? They had to know that nothing but trouble would come out of that!
The whole mess in my opinion is a complete failure to communicate on Blizzard’s part.

I’m sure the nonsense I’ve seen on this forum thoughout the years is all hidden wisdom from misunderstood geniuses.
Or it could be, that they post without thinking, troll deliberately and over time people get sick and tired and start calling people out on their streams.

I suspect that there was a lag post Blizzcon. From what Free indicated from an interaction with Nevalistis, there may be news coming soon and context. My guess is that the final patch notes will have a Developers comment on the justification for the change to the lamentation affix if really being adopted. About 2 years ago, Don Vu provided something similar. (see post #72 in this thread for the quote).

The statement in context is to indicate not geniuses but that illustrates better than naming John Smith and Pauline Brown that nobody knows - That some people care what other’s think and live in society doing what everyone wants them to, or they live their lives in order to please others and end up never pleasing themselves because they are too concerned what everyone thinks.
There are many who do not and they are also part of society whether unknown, or known.

Well, if they are not concerned with what others think, why post on a forum in the first place?
And after being called out on a stream, if they don’t care what the person thinks, why complain to Blizzard and ask for actions to be taken against the person, who called them out?

And if it wasn’t them that wrote this complain, why jump to defend them even if they don’t care?

Dear moderator, consider closing this thread please. It may turn into another argument fest. Lets play the game already.

So after the last thread got locked it was really necessary to create another one where people continue to refer to ‘the streamer’, and play the complete victim card here on this forum while trying to silence ‘the streamer’?

I agree with Cheetah - this just resembles kids squabbling. That stream was made something like 5 days after the thread on these forums regarding his Tweet, which was completely mis-represented. How communities think that threads like this are a good look for them is beyond me. And he even said he wishes there was a way to maintain the lamentation buff for things like speed GRs (to give a viable alternative to rats) without having the Devs need to think about solo GR pushing potential.

Yeesh.

So they are not allowed to have that thought for themselves? I did.
If I cared what other’s thought I would have thought “ooohhh someone might not like this…” and never posted in the first place.
I see other’s points of view but it does not mean I agree with them, nor do I bear any malice because I seem to have more that disagree. I still hold my view nonetheless.

Not sure what you mean.
My point is, they should of not released the Patch to anybody, especially streamers before the Patch was released to the general public with proper Patch Notes included. Blizzard was just asking for trouble doing so.
I really don’t blame people for being upset at what went down, but the lack of proper communication by Blizzard has caused a ton of confusion and hurt.

I believe that info is in the 5th post of this thread (if I’ve kept up with this)

I agree, this streamer needs to be punished for his actions.

By following that logic, the streamer can have his thoughts… and not just to himself, he is free to share them with his viewers.

When I read something particularly dumb, I usually have similar reaction to that of the streamer.

If your logic is “I don’t care what others think”, then you can’t expect the streamer to care if he hurt someone’s feelings.

People are passionate about Diablo. Sometimes a person comes to the forum to discuss a topic he cares about. If he’s looking for a serious discussion and all he reads is nonsense from people, that do not care what others think, and at the same time don’t care to take details into account and derail the discussion, no wonder he started calling them names on the stream.

Or be hurt by what anyone says eh?
You forgot that part because he would have no need to say anything if it did not bother him.
Simple logic.

They could sign up for twitch and argue all they wanted to on his stream, you would have to abide by his and twitches chat rules.
Your ignorance of this fact does not provide you any bases to continue on with your absurd argument of him breaking tos by showing the forums in his stream.

He did not instruct his chat to abuse the forums in any means. I would drop it before you loose any more credibility than you already have

Do you think I care what anyone here thinks? :joy:
Maybe the absurdity is that people think it is fine to name and shame people.
The only feeling I have for anyone that thinks that is pity.

Let’s try this once more, like MsC said, naming and shaming is against Blizzard**** tos. The naming and shaming you think happened, did NOT occur on Blizzards platform.

In other words, your wasting your time, effort and emotions. Bordering harrasment as well, you may also be trying to incite others to harrass a person as well.

Like mentioned, you may want to drop it. Remember, two wrongs don’t make it right.
