What Level Paragon are the MaxRoll builds

Hello, does anyone know what level of Paragon you’re “expected” to be at to achieve the GR pushing levels that MaxRoll website shows us for the Greater Rift Pushing Tier List?

I.E if a build is capable of reaching GR 145 (i.e. an A tier build) what level paragon are you expected to have to reach thatt level of GR?

Thank you! PLEASE HELP

The push builds from Maxroll are recommended for a Paragonlevel of 5000 and up. You can play those builds at lower Paragonlevels if you want, but your character would be pretty squishy at high Grift levels.

Your second question is hard to answer, cause every build is more or less different in terms of power, tankiness and playstyle

I can’t answer that, but it is a good question. I guess the posters should post along with the build what level they reached with that build.

I would think the surefire way of getting a 150 GR build is simply to check on the Blizzard Ranking site seasonal and see what those players used to get to the leaderboard. That way you garantee you are getting a build used to make GR 150.

Just my thinking.

There is no fixed paragon level. You usually start with the nephalem rift and solo speed builds and see how it goes as you progress. In many cases, depending on season theme, build power, willingness and ability to fish, players reach top clears from 1500 paragons and up (sometimes even less).

I think the builds are listed in tiers by maxroll based on their relative performance, meaning how they compare between each other. A-tier is around 5 GR levels weaker than S tier and 5 levels stronger than B - tier. How far you can push is a combination of many things. The build itself, the quality of your items, paragons, augments and main stat, your skill as a player and knowledge of game obviously, finding a good open map and clever use of pylons. And finally the seasonal theme. In season 28 most S-, A- and B- tier builds are able to clear GR150 as one can see in the leaderboards. I’d say if you are around 20k main stat and have good items you can clear a GR150 in the current season with any of the top builds.

The list is usually based on the offensive capabilities of the builds. Some of the highest damage dealing ones suffer from low toughness, hence you kinda need more paragons than their competitors in order to survive more easily (Zunimassa comes to mind).

No idea, mitsos’s post above might be right.

On the build guides side, I recall on a couple of them in different seasons they said in their youtube that 2k-2500 before using that exact build esp if its like crimsons/augs. Never seen guardians in the builds I tried there, but it appears superior at least up to 1500 in my opinion.

Best way is just hover down the leaderboard till you hit someone near your paragon, and see generally how they setup. Its sometimes different then maxroll.

This. I don’t think maxroll lists what GR the builds are expected to clear, only the best as S-tier, and the others how much lower they’ll clear.

For GR levels, go and look at this thread instead, which gives you a better idea of the best clears with respect to paragon: Top Adjusted Clear for each class so far in Season 28 - #80 by Rage-13139

Hmmmmmmmmmm interesting indeeed

One issue I’ve always had with their tier list is that the way it’s framed is pretty confusing. They give their S-tier builds, and then A tier is “up to 5 tiers weaker”. But: some of the builds they have in S-tier are already 5 or more tiers weaker than other S-tier builds.

So, is A-tier “up to 5 tiers weaker” than the bottom of their S-tier builds? The top? An average of all the S-tier builds? This is never explained, and I think the answer is: there is no answer, they just didn’t think about it. Combine that with the fact that some of their tier placements are just flat-out wrong, no matter how you look at it (like Zunimassa).

Maxroll is great, the single greatest resource, by far, that has ever existed for this game. But their tier list needs a revamp.

I think cases like this come from the fact that the tier lists are basically just mathematical estimations of the builds and their power. Sometimes builds in practise can end up being much stronger or weaker than the estimation. Example: the new Tal Rasha Meteor, it initially estimated to be low S-tier (or was it even higher A-tier) and in reality turned out being among the strongest builds in the game.

I don’t think the tier lists need revamping, instead people should consider them a guide rather than the absolute truth. Because the tier lists are just estimations after all.

True, GoD + Yang’s + Goldwrap + Hoarder = GR103+.

I saw that too…Zunimassa could be better…If you didnt need 10k paragon to survive…
and oddly Corpse Spider and Spirit barrage are below Zuni

I have a Spirit Barrage, a UE and starting a Masquerade,

Then thinking Inna or WoL,

Then Crusader (not sure what kind?)

Then H90Savages / Frenzy Barb

Then Wizard/Witch (idk what build this season?)

Let me know if you have any suggestions for builds

Usually they have a few options. Start with guardian move to aughild, etc. What i dislike is that they dont change builds to keep up with leaderboards. I know ots hard to update that many builds but some can be outdated before the season even starts.

What are the top builds for speed farming paragon? And what’s the best ones for pushing GR?

Paragon: GoD or Tal, I think.

Pushing: Tal

Oh, ok, here you go, then. It’s a tier list I just came up with:

S-tier: Roland Crusader

D-tier: All other builds

Doesn’t sound right? Well, it’s just a guide, not the absolute truth.

Or… we could instead hope that things which can be easily improved, will be improved. Because why not?

It’s not even just a toughness issue. Plenty of super-high paragon players have pushed the build, with mediocre results. It’s just not that good a build.

they got tier lists for speed builds also if you fish around the website

zuni is so boring i cant stand it. Also feels bad that you need to hit everything with piranhas before you can do meaningful damage

Tal Rasha is a jack of all trades and possibly the best all-around build right now as you’ve probably heard. I am speed-farming GR135 in 3 minutes and even less on a good map. And I am also clearing GR140 and GR145 relatively fast to round up some gems. At some point, I’ve done a GR145 in 2:30 minutes which is crazy. GR150 is also effortless with this build, assuming you have some good items and close to 20k main stat. With the endless pools of reflection, this translates into massive xp per hour. I am also using Frenzy Barb as an alt and I can speed farm GR125 - 130 as well. Outside of GRs I use Demon Hunter GoD, like every other season, for T16 content (keys mostly, and a few bounties). If there was no Tal Rasha in this season, I’d probably farm GRs too with GoD. I am not a fan of Tragoul, even though it is very strong, because of the long boss fight.

I use UE for farming right now, is that about as good as GoD?
