I agree totally. My point is no one would chose to not use perma CC immunity skill if they had it in their build.
S29 will be an experimental seson. Devs probably want to see how builds preform without any power creep, with a base line para 800. So for the seson after that, they have a good idea what to adjust in builds and skills, with the perma altar in mind and a sesonal theme on top of that. They still want to maintain balance. Because usualy power creep does not efect all builds equaly. Imagine the altar on top of that. So i think that is why we “have to” wait untill S30.

Does that mean it won’t be moved to non season as soon as 28 is done? Does non season also have to wait until 30?
The alatar will be a permanent addition to both seson and non-season in S30.
I am not sure about your argument. With tbe altar becoming permanent S30 and on ( as well as coming to non-season), the new baseline will include the altar.
It’s an explanation good as any. 
While I’m excited to see how the new para system will work ( hopefully more than 800 btw … ) I’m kinda sad that there will be no power creep this season. Altar was so fun.
I hope the new para system will somewhat compensate it’s loss, I don’t want to feel less powerful 
These devs are pulling right from the Diablo IV playbook: in all aspects, builds will be gimped. They will be slower, less powerful, and more tedious to play. Remember the excessive clicking + salvaging we used to do?.. it’s coming back, and this time, they doubled it.
Ofcourse they are making D3 unplayable. How else are they gonna force us to D4?
I rather play D3 non season than D4, I’m sure I’m not alone in that.

Unfortunately, Blizzard and their DEI hiring practices have devolved the company even more (somehow) and they just keep making blatantly bad decisions.
If forcing us into D4 is really their ulterior motive, I’ll just either stop playing Diablo games all together or occasionally play non-season D3 when I want that ARPG fix. D4 is like an out of control freight train heading towards a dead-end cliff with no breaks or engineer on board.
100% agree with you, the altar should come in s29.
I think there will be some form of power based reward in the theme, would just be really weird if the only reward you got for those was a bunch of drops.
Well unless it is a huge bunch of drops or something that is more than just random items but some form of targeted farming. But that also goes against the part of the season already not having any long term goal other than loot farming.
We will see. I’ll play season 29 and beyond anyway, power creep or not.
