No, not same logic at all. One is actively gimping yourself, the other is specifically picking a build out of at least 6 for that class alone that you know won’t be CC immune and doing it anyway because it gives you some benefit despite that.

You can’t opt out from a skill you don’t have. There is 0 choice.

I kinda do agree that there is no choice. CC immunity is so powerful that it is not a very meaningful choice in most situations (and the few exceptions like meteor wizard does not change that). Part of why CC immunity should be nerfed. It is too strong, bending build choices toward it.

Nonetheless, meteor wizard is an example of being able to choose a viable build while not picking CC immunity. Even if it functions as an exception to the rule.
