Season 33 was ended once without any notification…
Today I was expecting to see a new season start, but I found season 33 restarted, also without any notification…
Then in about an hour I got notification in game, that season is ending in half an hour… And again there is no any information anywhere on the website, in launcher or in game.
So what is going on with the company and games?..
Why are you neglecting your players?..

- Season 33 ended Sunday, 2025-01-19T05:00:00Z at 5 PM PST/CET/KST.
- Season 34 starts Friday, 2025-01-24T05:00:00Z at 5 PM PST/CET/KST.
Season 33 has already ended for Asia and Europe Regions.
Season 33 will end for the Americas Region in about 6 hours and 20 minutes as of this post.

Blizzard decides to communicate season end in the last sentence of the introduction paragraph of a new season. Like “Season X will begin on […]. It will have […]. Oh, and by the way, Season Y ends on […]”.

Actually no. First time they ended season before January 5. So I decided like most normal people that the new season will start in about a week after that.
But in 2 weeks after I found that season was recovered, but with all progress and gear, that was not weared on a hero, lost. After playing for a while I got got a system message, that season will end in 30 minutes…
I checked the website and launcher again, but there was completely nothing about season 33…
I think D3 is the last game I purchased from Blizzard…

Don’t you think it’s strange, that they said on 10, that season will end on 19, while it’s already ended on 4 and support team even answered in tickets before 10, that they had to close it earlier?
I think a lot of things about the end of S33 are strange.
However, we were notified that it would end on the 19th.
My guess is there was an automated end assigned before the PTR was extended and it had not been changed due to an oversight.
The Season 33 end on January 5th was a mistake, it wasn’t meant to end on that date. From the vey few lines Blizz communicated with us, the said: “Oops, that wasn’t planned to happen, something went wrong”. And they brought back the season for another 2 weeks. But it led to some problems with players that have logged in and transferred items to the non seasonal stash. The only way you could get back to the season without any changes was 1. either you hadn’t logged during the false end, or 2. did a rollback of your account to a previous date. Personally, I did the rollback and it worked perfect, because I wanted to play in-season some more. It was handled poorly by Blizzard, we all agree on that, and the reviving of the season made matters worse.
Anyway, what’s done is done. Usually, nowdays, they don’t communicate with us that often. They just announce a new season starting date which happens, most of the time, on Fridays, and the ongoing season ends on Sunday (5 days before that new season starts).
