What have you done to the website?

Typical uninformed, ignorant, lazy comment. Devs listen to feed back all the time. Chances are, even before it is suggested it has already been thought of and the reasons are numerous as to why they aren’t implemented.

They tried it and didn’t like the results. They tried it and it broke the game. They tried it and it sucked. They didn’t try it because it goes against their design philosophy. The didn’t they it because it is too had to do with the budget they have. They didn’t try it because of time/money constraints. They wanted to try it but time/money constraints pushed it off tona later patch/expansion/sequel.

Just because they dont comment or implement something you want doesn’t mean they don’t listen. Seriously, their are dev blogs all about this all over the internet.

For me it started to work fine.

It’s an . . . interesting time for everything Diablo. Broken website, borked PTR, and a Season theme that came out undercooked and still mewling.

There was a time when Blizzard took better care of its franchises.

I just finished a 4-hour game session. The Blizzard App ran fine. I started a game. No queues. No latency issues. No disconnects. The PTR ran smooth for 4 straight hours. I’m thinking of going back in shortly to finish the Season Journey before the PTR ends.

As far as the website goes, ever since I logged out of the D3 website and logged in to the D3 forums only, I haven’t had any issues. I log in the English (US) forums by default and still have my Europe and Asia Profiles bookmarked. And when I’m looking at other players’ Profiles I still have to use the eu and ap prefixes, but I’m okay with that.

It’s been posted that the website has been fixed, but it doesn’t work for me (without doing what I described above). I don’t know if that’s because I’m logged out of the website, but I wouldn’t think that should matter.

You missed the party yesterday… anyone trying to login Europe was met with something like this:

Only took 15 hrs or so to fix… no message from Blizzard on the Europe French or English forums during all that time. Yes, there was a message at the bottom of the BNet App but, really… ! And today… issues with the authentication servers… sigh. A coincidence perhaps, we had a maintenance update yesterday morning.

The changes to the web profiles wrecked havoc for a while… until Maskraider stumbled on a workaround – serendipity is nice to have, but we shouldn’t have to rely on it to find workarounds to issues. Let’s face it – Blizzard has no clue on how the web profiles are used by players to look into the equipment being worn by a hero to find a missing legendary gem, diagnose sudden drop of DPS, suggest improvement(s) to hero… or even just describe a build.

I’m not going to comment on the content of the PTR – I haven’t played it for a year now… but I do read feedback and bug reports and someone has to report the various announcements made by our CMs to the Europe French language forums (Blizzard sure doesn’t seem to be able to do that). This PTR is one of the worst one I’ve seen, if not the worst… from no support for Mac clients to latency/login issues – does “error 395002” ring a bell?

So… yes:

But perhaps I am just expecting too much…

It isn’t coincidence. Issues OFTEN occurred after scheduled maintenances on EU server. And took too long to fix.

People stopped posting on EU forum, and seeked help on US forum instead.

Heard from recent news, ActivBlizz closed down the French office finally. So, what will happen next?

The issue is back.

It’s no longer possible to see your armoury pages for your non-home region again. I play on the EU server region, but I have a level 1 Barb on the US and Asia regions. I have favourites for each of the regional career pages, i.e.

EU - https://eu.diablo3.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career
US - https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career
Asia - https://kr.diablo3.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career

All three of those currently give the message that no profile can be found.
If I amend the URLs to include blizzard in the FQDN to be…

EU - https://eu.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career
US - https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career
Asia - https://kr.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career

All three of those region-specific URLs re-direct to…
https://diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career

Whilst that URL works and successfully displays my EU region heroes it means I have absolutely no way to look at the armoury pages for my US or Asia region heroes.

I can’t see profiles for my home region or any region for that matter. It’s a PIA when trying to help players with their specs.

@Meteorblade : You need to log out from that page in order to switch regions.

It should remember that you aren’t logged on from now on… and you can change region by writing us. or eu. or ap. for Americas, Europe and Asia regions at the front of the URL.

Maskraider found out about that when Blizzard tried to push their new web profile system… and then had to take it back down. I suspect they haven’t learned from the first time. :man_shrugging:

that won’t work… you need to use https://ap.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Meteorblade-2266/career after logging out.

Hi:

Yes… the normal web profile pages are broken… you have to use the new ones.

In your case, it’s here: https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/profile/Mugsy-6765/career (replace us.diablo3.com by us.diablo3.blizzard.com)

And… as I wrote above… if you want to look at the other regions, you need to log out from that page (it won’t log you out from the forums).

Whenever I have a problem viewing a D3 webpage correctly, I just change the URL from one to the other.

For example: This is the English/US website. If I try to access the EN-US Game Guide I sometimes get this:

Notice the URL is https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/game/

I change the URL by adding blizzard. between diablo. and com to get: https://us.diablo3.blizzard.com/en-us/game/ which produces this:

So, if one form doesn’t work I try other.

For Armory Profiles I may have to type career at the end of the URL and then click the Heroes tab.

One day, maybe Blizzard will decide which one they want to use and update all the websites so we’re all “on the same page”. (No pun intended).

Is this related to why the patch notes are no longer in the Game Guide ? Has anyone seen them? I’ve looked everywhere.

Hi :

No… that is in a different topic. See the post by TinneOnnMuin here :

You have to maintain your own list now… :frowning:, either with bookmarks in your browser, or a document with the list of URLs. For the Europe French forums, I maintain the list here: Notes de mise à jour - Assistance technique - Diablo 3 Forums . People there can bookmark my post to find it later… that’s the best I could do.

You will need to add these 2 to the list by TinneOnnMuin :

2.6.9 : Season 21 - Trials of Tempests is NOW LIVE! - Diablo III

2.6.10 : Season 22 | Shades of the Nephalem | Has Ended - Diablo III

Finally, note that all these URLs are the old style (us.diablo3.com)… they may have to be changed to the new style (diablo3.blizzard.com) at some point in the future.

As noted in another thread, I can currently access my web profile both with and without blizzard. in the URL. At least, until futher notice that is… We will have to wait and see how they “optimize” in the future.

Isn’t there a saying: if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it?

Bliz says: It’s working, let’s break it…

I’ll go and edit my post and add them in.

As you wish… although that wasn’t what I was saying.

Your post (and mine in Europe, I suppose) is lost in a sea of other posts… unless people start bookmarking your post and other useful stuff, it’s just about hopeless to try and find these jewels.

Cheers !

FYI
The season overview website also contains links to patch notes.

https://d3resource.com/seasons/index.php

It does… to some extent; because it is linked to seasons, it’s missing the early ones… and the last one (season 22) is mis-labelled 2.6.9 instead of 2.6.10.

But yeah… everyone’s looking for a way to hold the information now that Blizzard isn’t any longer.
