Feels much nicer not to break down yellow/blues, auto pick-up, etc…
I figured this season will likely be until d4 launches and then at least 3/4th players will move to D4… so maybe it’s time to consider making altar perm for non-season?
Even double primal rate is nice (even if about 40 I found so far all have been crap, but 1)
Im no English major, but I am almost certain thats a question and dude answered it. Could be wrong though, maybe it identifies differenly or something.
Well people have been wanting auto pickup for ages, the coding to do it has been done now so they might as well keep it in I think. Even if it needs something to be unlocked.
I think keeping the concept of the altar is a great idea. Just tone down the power (Or remove entirely) and rotate some things every season as an easy way to keep things fresh.
LOL. a topic discussing if I meant it as a question or NOT. Answer is NO. Why, you say? I been around for a ‘while’, and I know how blizz works (many others do as well). There are many things that they plan and have ready and keep away from us for years, for one reason or another (how else would you have a game feel fresh for 10 years for example).
So, NO, I was not asking blizzard, because it’s very clear to anyone who follows them that even if they knew the answer, they would never say it here until they were ready to announce it… on their time frame
The topic was made, as a plain statement, because most of us know that these won’t come to NS (hell, I i was super surprised that primary re-roll came there).
BUT, maybe and I say MAYBE, something will… maybe auto death breaths pick-up will… I doubt auto blue / yellow breakdown will…
BUT, hope is eternal…or being in denial, but with likely 80% of people moving to D4, maybe they will, since the CODE is there and season allows them to iron out bugs, etc…
well i could see a Mini-version of the alter going into effect after the season, with things like pet salvaging, and maybe the primal changes, can not see the xp boost staying, I do wonder if they might add some kind of battle pass for d3 that would give the full alter. As for D4 I have no plans of yet to move, I will do the open beta just to try it out.
First, one must assume the current season will, indeed, end and not simply continue in perpetuity.
Second, if the season does end, then historical data indicates the theme (this being the Altar and thereby all effects associated with it) are removed. They could spring a Chicken Little at us all though and make a “mid-season” announcement that some changes continue.
Prediction is difficult without Nostradamus level crazy. Or, one can rely on the past.
I’m convinced that the altar will stay in some form. Why go through so much work and design and things asked for for years if only to have it for a single season?
then the game will go back to boring grindy torture. that’s how Blizzard subtlety “lure” you into try and buying D4, because you can’t go back to the sucky old D3 after all spoils they throw you right b4 D4 launch.
Javazon explained what they meant and I just supplied the technical term for it; but you and Indian chose to get mad anyway. It’s okay to admit when you’re wrong but since you’re intent on being toxic, you go ahead and enjoy your little insular world of incorrectness.

Back on topic…
Some form of the altar would be decent and it’s a nice send-off for the game, but if they make it permanent it’ll have to be greatly nerfed like ENs.
Some of the assets and ideas can potentially be reused in other Blizzard properties. D3 could be a testing ground for future D4 ideas to see what the engagement is. I could see the altar being part of potential DLC for D4; I dare say I would’ve paid for the altar to be a permanent part of D3 if they’d offered it as DLC 8-10 years ago. It’s a neat toy.
