What do you want in next season?

Hi all, should be nice to add an icon where shown numbers hero deaths so to better value the player’s experience, a kind of hardcore mode
Thanks all

A useless feature. Noone would care.

Welcome to Hardcore.

Your character will die.

The “number of deaths” would describe a player’s ability to play as well as Paragon Points. Especially since you can’t tell the difference between death by stupidity, death by GR push, and death by disconnect. A death is a death. And death will happen.

Get rid of the stupid set dungeon requirement.

I have completed everything in S22 with the exception of the Master SD. I always need to waterdown the build so much just to complete it. So what was the point.

I want new tiers for regular gems. No matter how expensive it will cost. I want to see the final variant of the gem with 1500 mainstat or 250 allrez or if we talks about gem putted into weapon: 150% elite damage or 200k thorns or 400 CHD.
Lets get thick!!!

Let Ramaladni’s Gift work on all pieces of equipment that can roll sockets. Might have a season where I don’t end up with over two dozens of them lying around.

Add a new recipe that uses up a legendary to open a portal to rainbow land. Not sure which legendary that would be though.

Add a way to let the player close portals to Not the cow level, rainbow land and Uber bosses so we don’t have to exit and re-enter the game.

While we’re at it, make an Ancient Not the cow level.

Set dungeons for the new sets.

I’d like to be able to put Liquid Rainbow in cube and hit transmute to open up Whimsydale. One caveat - you can only have 1 rainbow in your possession across all heroes at any one time.

I understand people may not like it because it’s really poorly implemented at this point. Is it really that big of a hurtle though for your season journey? Do you want it gone because it’s too hard or challenging or just because it’s an annoyance or trivial at this point? If your answer is the latter, aren’t most of the journey check marks fairly trivial and outdated at this time?

I would like to see a complete overhaul of the journey. Raise the bar on a lot of the requirements to make the journey more up to par with todays power levels, and maybe add in some new and interesting achievements.

I always create a Barb and knock out the IK dungeon in about 90 seconds so no, it is most definitely NOT that big of a hurdle. Just sort of pointless. Give us something else, this one is boring and repetitious.

we do need another use for forgotten souls but f rainbowland.

I agree, at this point the set dungeon should be removed from the journey. It’s just pointless as many dungeons are just bad and players typically complete the easiest one for their class anyway.

This season has also seen absolutely ridiculous amount of “bug” reports from players who tried to find the dungeons related to the new sets and didn’t realize there isn’t any. I foresaw this coming long ago when it was stated the new sets would eventually become part of the Haedrig’s Gift rotation. Had the set dungeon been removed from the journey for this season, no false report would’ve been filed.

This won’t happen but could frustrate some softcore players. Lose 10% experience each death as was with Diablo 2. Each death would reduce experience by 1 bar (10%). In D2, once experience bar back at beginning, then no further loss.

I agree that Softcore deaths need to have a penalty. It would go a long way toward alleviating the frustrations of another user here who has (quite correctly) pointed out that the leaderboards are only showing top place…not how many tries it took you to get there.

However…how would that be implemented? Just take experience away from the current Paragon level? Once you hit 0%…then what? Nothing? I say go an extra step and start removing Paragon levels at that point. If an experience loss would put you under 0% for that Paragon level, you lose one. That might make players a little more cautious about death-zerging until they clear that elusive 120 (or whatever level they’re trying to pass).

I also don’t think it will happen, but it would be nice to see at least some cost associated with failure in Softcore. We don’t need to take it all the way to “you lose everything forever”, but some penalty would at least introduce the element of risk.

Here’s another idea along those lines: Every death during a GR removes 1 gem charge. Die 5 times and you may as well quit the rift, because you’re not getting any charges this time. Maybe stick to the content you can handle.

As far as what I would like to see out of the next season…nothing special or earth-shattering really: Just give us a 4th Legendary Gem slot. We’ve seen how the addition of a 4th equipment slot in Kanai’s Cube can alter gameplay…how about how adding in a 4th Legendary Gem would alter gameplay?

…and, no…we don’t need to bother with Shadow Clones either. The 4th slot will be just fine. ^_~

So another reason to kick players from groups? Player X has had 15 deaths so they must be a trash player. Never mind they died from lag from most of them and the rest, they pushed a little beyond their current gear.

We don’t need another “stat” for players to act better than others.

The original intent behind that suggestion may have been innocent, but I can see your viewpoint as well. We already have players who will auto-kick for not playing a carbon copy build…we don’t need to give them even more ammunition.

Now fast-forward to that character being rebirthed season after season. Would the death counter be reset? Probably not, just like the hours played. Other players would assume that player is trash because there were 100 deaths…never caring or realizing that those deaths were over 20+ seasons.

No…I agree with you on that. Despite the original intent behind the suggestion, players would use that as a way to pre-judge others and they would do it without hesitation.

Do you play Barbarians? If you do, use the IK set with BK weapons and spin to win. Easy master. I did that last season. Just to think I was going to try and master the WW set, again. NOPE!

I want them to add an Elemental Arrow damage multiplier to Kridershot.

Diablo 4 alpha or beta would be good!

That’s how the XP penalty in many other ARPGs work, including D2. Each death removes certain amount of XP defined by the difficulty level until you hit the minimum required amount of your current character level.
