Personally for me its Amazon and Paladin, in their D2 iterations.
Demons. Preferably winged with a tail.
Horodric priests.
There is already a topic named almost literally like that.
This is what I would like too.
Play as either Demon or Cultist.
Play as either Angel or Priest.
Failing that, I want a fast hitting, mobile and sneaky character like the Monk/Assassin/Rogue archtype.
Then again, I’m happy with the Druid. I always make Druids if the game allows for it. Absolutely love their lore and emphasis on balance.
But, no doubt an archer of some sort will be available by release.
idk in my book is missing the paladin , necromancer , amazon
not sure blizzard will try to take the chance or risk to bring a new class
remember witch doctor
but later for new class i will really like one dark knight using soul and blood reaver skill this will make a nice hybrid class , i know is a evil class but diablo game still have the necro
My guess is they are going to add a brand new class and a 5th returning one is Monk or Crusader.
you like d3 crusader ? what you like from this class ? is very rare i ear some player loving this class , most of the time player ask for the paladin back
personally is one of my worst class ever i really dislike most of the skill animation
For me: Zon and Assassin with necro and paladin in expansions
I think Amazons are sort of required. They don’t have a physical ranged class in yet. There are plenty of hints about the Skovos Isles, home of the Amazons, in ROS, so it would make sense.
I think paladins/crusader and necro/witch doctor are iconic archetypes as well. D2 and D3 both had them and they’re always fan favorites. The necro, especially, was highly requested. The D3 team was hotly criticized for years for trying to retcon them out as witch doctors and ultimately, they brought back the necro and it was a very popular DLC for them - for me, as well. I could see either one added.
I’d also like to see a D2 assassin in the game. A rogue-ish character is an RPG staple, and the assassin would certainly fit here. I loved my trapsin back in the day and played her almost as much as my Bowazon main. There’s plenty of creative space there, especially with some crossover from the monk class, if that stays scrapped.
Necro and
I’ll get hate for this, I can feel it but…
Monk.
Necromancer of course but they’ll most likely use it for an expansion because it’ll sell.
I was hoping they’d make a shaman class that utilized totem game play mechanics, summoned elemental pets but I suppose there would be some cross-over with the druid.
They need a pet class of course but I think they should add in a hunter/amazon class that has a sub skill tree that can utilize pets.
A rogue/ninja/stealth character would be cool and so would a warlock class.
I like the idea of a Shaman.
I’m not sure if I would enjoy a copy-pasted WoW class though. The idea of a Shaman is interesting, but I’d enjoy if they went with it’s actual origins, which is the worship of spirits, manipulating souls, that kind of stuff. Which now that I think about it, it’s sort of what the Witch Doctor is.
Yeah. I would say the main mechanic to be based around a pylon type of class however.
Yeah, Totems are fine. I just think they should do spirits rather than elementals.
Given the D2 throwback vibe from BlizzCon, I’m guessing Amazon and Paladin.
- Rogue from D1 for the Ranged Physical class
- Cleric or Paladin for the Holy/Light class
- Bard would be interesting for the Weirdness class lol
I Really Hope to See The Demon Hunter in Diablo 4. It Wouldn’t Make Since to Not Add a Bow/Crossbow Related Character, Such as The Demon Hunter.
WD was a very fun class.
there has been a hunter related concept art shown
I enjoyed the monk as well…
