Wave of light and Spinners? WOL is a projectile?

This might be late in season, but I havent been able to confirms this anywhere

-In Non-season, my WOL monk has no issues with spinners

-In season, WOL seems to insta kill me on spinners like an Impale/GOD build

Does anyone else have this issue? Are the bells, or the explosion from them “projectiles” LOL

Thats why st andrews gage is a popular option

I didn’t play WoL monk this season but I reckon explosions from Sanctified power are treated as individual projectiles at each direction.

but if they are being “reflected” as your own projectiles…no amount of shield or mitigation can save you…considering how broken the damage of WOL is

No the shields work fine

That’s the way it works for all this season (sadly). I do tend to kill a lot of the champions who spawn with spinners though. You have to be fast and try and kill them before they start to spin, pause while they spin, and then try to knock them out when they stop again. It’s not too difficult (if you play softcore). It’s tricky if you hit a Conduit pylon because the flashes will cause any bells to explode and hit you. As a monk you also have a high dodge chance and a serenity period that can help you stay alive.
Of course there is also the possibility to skip them.

Yeah. I skip spinners during high GR runs if the pylon wasn’t a shield.

They completely redefined what WoL does with the sanctified power. It’s unclear if they intended for them to be projectiles. My guess is they did not, but that’s still how it landed. Normal WoL is clearly not projectile based.

With st andrews gage your shields will take the insta gib damage. If the gr is too high to kill them in one rotation turn it down or teleport away to fight another day.

This is not accurate AFAIK. If you hit a spinner with a shield up you will die anyway. St. Archew is popular to help you keep up squirts.

I’ll have to test that today I guess.

I just know this because i try to run with full xp pools. Only way i keep them lol

Normal WoL also dies to spinners.

Just asked Wudijo, and he confirmed that it just acts like extra hp pool. So you will still get 1 shot.

The example he gave which puts it in perspective is wizard’s deflection. this gives you a shield for like 3% of your hp. If it worked as you suggest, then that 3% would absorb any single incoming hit. This would be ridiculously overpowered.

Maybe its just my ninja reflexes

serenity?

Serenity Ascension…

Ugggggh

(20 characters)

Yup, that is a rune for that skill…

Normal you mean non-season?
I’ve played LOD wol for 3 seasons, this is the first time that I constantly get one-shot by spinners

The real winner of this season’s buff are Spinners :skull:

Sanctified WOL = one shot yourself
Sanctified Magic Missile = one shot yourself
Sanctified Fist of the Heavens = one shot yourself
Sanctified Impale = one shot yourself
LON Darts = one shot yourself

Its weird that boulder toss is not a “projectile” while WOL is considered

Yes, as in the version used in non-season.

Not sure what to tell you, without a doubt Wave of Light has always counted as a projectile and spinners will 1 shot you.

When you guys get the spinners, are you trying to fight them?
