Greetings
Quite new to the Diablo universe, started with Diablo Immortal and, gotta say, love the option to move with wasd, hate the lack of it in Diablo 3.
I’d like to know if there’s a way to add that movement option through some way. Found some videos from ~10 years ago doing so through AutoHotKey scripts, but it seems they’re no longer usable. Any alternatives?
P.S, I’ve been playing WASD-movement games for more than a decade, so it’s much natural to me, and the comfort of doing so is way more important than the “upsides” of using click-to-move.
Thanks in advance
Many players use a key for “force move” (like space bar… or they use the scroll wheel). It can be used in combination with a “force stand still” key so that clicking to attack won’t result in a move if you don’t hit a target

Not natively in the game, and D3 does not have native controller support on PC either. I would avoid any use of AHK with Blizzard games. That particular one has been used to automate skill rotations and is something the anti cheat software can target.
The force move/force stand still that was suggested is probably the way to go. You sort of get used to it in D3.
Also, you can just hold down the mouse key and run the direction the mouse pointer is. You don’t have to click each time you want to move.

Thank you both for your replies.
I knew that Diablo 3 doesn’t support wasd movement or use of a controller, that was the main reason I didn’t get around to actually play the games and stuck with reading the lore. I just hoped that, so many years and even more requests later, especially since Immortal’s support for wasd and controller was a huge success for those who wanted that option, Blizzard would at least offer an alternative to the movement system on D3.
Anyway, I guess I have to accept that I’ll have to get used to the awkward movement if I wanna play the games, hahah. I’m gonna try out the ways suggested.
Cheers

It’s not awkward at all. Set space bar for force move. When ever you want to move push space bar with your thumb. Then set Tab for force stand still. Push Tab with your little finger when you want to force stand still.
I then use ring finger for skill #1, middle finger for skill#2, pointer finger for skill#3. Then I set my longest cooldown / numlock skill to #4 and move my pointer finger every so often (or only once) for this long cooldown skill. You can also macro / numlock any number of skills.
Works great once you get used to it. I had to do this after I got RSI in season 5 from using scroll wheel for movement. Still have permanent nerve damage from then as well, and have to use a mouse in my left hand for day to day work.
I die to the movement system more than any other reason, lol.
