The visions of emnity portals are great, really enjoying the season theme.
these should absolutely go core, the vast majority of people hated doing bounties, such bad content. the new portals really add some spice to farming the adventure mode, the open world which we essentially never did.
please add them to the core game at the end of this season along with the alter, that would actually make diablo a really solid game after all this time.
BUT, i would make this change:
stop deaths breaths and gr keys from dropping in them. right now they basically invalidate normal rifts. they are fun and they give you tons of bounty mats, tons of legendaries, tons of trash items. just let them be about farming for those things.
each piece of content needs a reason to exist. let normal rifts be about getting deaths breaths and GR keys. right now its so excessive, ive got over 30,000 deaths breaths and about 100 vieled crystals, 40 forgotten souls and over 6k of each bounty mat.
GRs for the gems and pushing leaderboards
keys for getting augments.
normal rifts for deaths breaths and gr keys.
visions for getting bounty mats and mass item drops.
ubers for hellfire jewellery.
bounties for bounty specific legendary items.
all content would have a reason to exist, a time and a place to go farm it.
emnity portals are too good to not add them to the base game either way, but it would be even better if they dont drop deaths breaths and GR keys.
nice, i gave ur thread a heart, i agree with the things ur saying. i dunno if i would boost their xp, i feel with the 800 cap we probably get enough xp and enough things from visions in general but that aside everything youre saying gets a thumbs up from me.
The XP part is really only meant to be in an uncapped environment.
Like when they are added to the core game and we have uncapped seasons again. (Or a high cap)
I would like Visions to be a permanent feature. However, I like the over-the-top DB and GR key drops!
One important thing is that DB drops are crucial in early (solo) leveling so I was really really really happy that they dropped liberally allowing me to craft a number of legendaries early on in the game to get my build(s) going.
Although I have no need of them now (and not in the quantities which they are dropping for me), I’m happy to accept their ridiculous number.
Besides if level cap is removed from S30 onwards, Visions are not gonna be that important since XP will once again be king and everyone will want to run rifts for more keys/hr and GRs for XP/hr. The limiting factors of Visions, which are bad XP/hr and moderate keydrops/hr, works very well in paragon capped S29.
TLDR for me: GR keys and DB drops from Visions are Okay and I Don’t Want It Nerfed.
I think they will work great in tandem with exp farming. Because exp farming will get you a lot of souls and then you don’t have to run a lot of (tedious) bounties to get the runes needed for reforging.
Exactly and I see no reason for the OP’s post. It’s nothing more than him ‘identifying’ a ‘problem’ where there is none; and offering a ‘solution’ which in fact makes the game worse.
It sure seems like he wants to design the next D4, where for every little thing there must be a prescribed game mode to lengthen the labor for the players to carry out. Can’t have fun.
