Vanishing posts:

yesterday, i had 1157 posts, now 1150;
another closed thread?

i’ve to post 10 posts a day to keep at 1150 postcount
each day, my postcount drops.
do other posters have the same problem?

posting a youtube link with my own written text, doesn’t count as a post!?

i want to know why my posts are deleted, but i get no info on it.
i ask some info on this Topic, if there is any, ty.

no trolls, clickbaiters or OP hate oneliners please.

My experience with the WoW Classic forums(which these forums use the same software) is that if Blizzard actually deletes a thread or post, you lose the post count.

If it was a thread, it may not be anything you did and you generally wont get any warning or notice about it. It’ll just delete every post in the thread.

That said there’s really nothing we or you can do to 100% determine the cause. It’s something Blizzard has to tell you, since it involves backend stuff we as users can’t see.

ty, yes, that part was once posted and relieved some stress about it.

I think I’ve had it happen once or twice, but I’m not particularly concerned about the number beside my name.

yes, i only am frustrated if i don’t know the reason,
in the past, i was informed what was deleted and why.

i take ‘if a thread get’s deleted’ as main reason now, np anymore;
-i guess i won’t post a thread with this Topic again,
-and i do have a goal: 1200 posts looks nice to me. :ok_hand:

RuntoFun

I see 1159 posts next to your name.

I for one haven’t seen any of my posts vanish, of course I don’t have nearly as much as you, but I have seen something similar.

On my icon on the upper right hand corner of my name will be a number. Oh ok, x amount of responses, cool. Only problem is, I either don’t see them at all or I only see a few. Hmm. Did the author delete them? Did Blizz delete them? Is there a delay before it gets posted? Is there a glitch in the matrix? What’s the deal?

Have you ever encountered that issue before?

i posted 9 posts, since this thread.
and i know the reason of my losses now.

consider this thread closed, the mistery is solved, ty.

Same here.
I believe the concept of keeping up a rising post count each day reminds me of living the nightmare in Dante’s Inferno.

Are you planning on asking the same thing every week?
You already asked about this…

read more and cherrypick less. :facepunch:

The question was answered in your thread from 10 days ago.
The mystery is why you asked the same question again a week later.

the mystery is that the only time you pop up for a comment on me it’s to bash me, even with dug up dirt.
-and even worse, you ignore my answers and keep at it;

i dont think the counter is so important :wink:

but if the thread itself is closed or even marked as invisible (they dont delet the thread itself), the posts dont vanish frome the counter.

the only reason might be, that some posts are transfered over into the mod-area ( researching stuff, gathering ideas or opinions of the players), wich could, maybe, lead to your counter-drop.

but dont take it as given :slight_smile: :sunflower:

that part i knew;
i thought maybe very old threads get deleted as a reason.

but i know the reason now, so i don’t need to post a thread about this Topic again, thanks.

i am so confuse on this post count thing.
do you get an award or achievement for post count?
Does Blizz offer something?
Or is this a new game of who gets the most post count?
OR maybe the more post count I get the better I get at the game? or more levels?
Cause I play the game D3 not D forum.

Please someone explain.

Its , to be part of, more over the “confusing” statement of the Trust-LvL
And … 2´ed, just since the 60´ … its like a little game, where everyone wants to have the biggest and best … Numbers :thinking:

nontheless.
most likely its about to get to trust-lvl 3 =)

Disagreeing with you is not bashing.
Quoting what you said is not bashing.
Commenting on what you said is not bashing.
Stop trying to claim to be a victim any time people don’t agree with you.

I provided a link to one of your own posts.
Are you saying that your own posts are dirt?

in my case, i just want to have 1200 post, as a personal goal.
-posts that contribute to the forum…
-not TL3, nothing else.

Why do you need to have 1150 posts?

I remember years ago, that reasonable posts and criticism would sometimes get deleted, but nowadays I don’t recall any of my posts being deleted.

If you’re trolling, there’s a chance that they’ll delete your post.

Even if you’re posting in a normal fashion, there’s a chance your post will get deleted, if you’ve posted in a thread, which is meant to bait and cause unrest.

Be civil, don’t post nonsense and you’ll be fine.

If there was true censorship here, I would have been banned years ago.

I don’t mean to be rude, but this seems pretty damn stupid to me.
You have access to a forum in order to discuss the game with other people, criticize or submit suggestions to the devs… and your goal is “I wanna have 1200 posts”…
?!?!

Well, perhaps it’s because poster’s Trust Levels, which determine what they can and can’t do in their posts, are determined by things that have everything to do with activity (posts made, threads made, posts read, threads read, likes given, likes received, days visited in last rolling 100 days) and nothing to do with actual trust-worthiness.
