I am using DIII on an M1 MacBook Pro, Mac OS 15.3.2. Playing DIII was fine as of Monday, May 19.
ON Tues 5/20 or Wed 5/21, I was prompted to load an Update to DIII. The update fails with the error message BLZBNTAGT00001389. At which point I ma unable to start and play DIII.
Help! Please!!! More info will be provided if it is requested.
It did help me in that, you pointed to the Mac Tech Support forum and I could see various things to do.
The advice that worked for me was to:
-
update the info.plist file as recommended in the the post " Game does not launch after 2.8.0 update"
-
uninstall/install the Diablo III app.
After doing both of these things, DIII worked fine. My issue is fixed.

In case anyone from Blizzard is still looking at this issue, I would like to report that although I do not need to apply the Info.plist workaround to get D3 working, I do have a different problem: D3 takes a very very long time to startup. This was not the case a month ago, but it’s happening now (despite there being no updates to the game in the interim (or at least I don’t remember hitting the “Update” button since then)). I posted more details on the issue here
