Is there any particular class that would be good to play next patch?

Only if you’re aware of the risk involved (I can see that you have HC experience). The extra layer of RNG in s25 in getting enough embers to get the rigt soul shard affixes is something to take into account.

There’s no risk involved. You can complete the entire journey with just one Marauder. Easiest set dungeon and can take care of multiple conquests. Divinity, Thrill & Curses are by far the easiest.
Playing HC will also help alleviate some of the brain rot because it will keep you more alert.

Really? Considering how many times I’ve gotten killed from things out of my control I would argue that there are. Granted, I don’t play HC and therefor care nothing for having any margins in place for server hiccups or whatever, but even if you do there are definitely risks, unless you play at a level so far below your potential that it’s hardly playing at all.
Divinity, Thrill & Curses are by far the easiest.
if you’re on PC where the wave/spawn rate for curses! is decent. On Console it’s a whole complete different story, even a 2 or 3 man team is no guarantee of getting it.

have played HC since s18, no deaths yet. Typically 3 characters per season (2 DH and a wizard). So that’s 18 characters. Not a single death. And yes, I have pushed (as high as I can with solo play, low gem ranks, low augment ranks and low paragon). Did a GR124 with s6 impale last season @ p1400 for rank 16 globally (PS4). Did similar pushing in earlier seasons.
If you don’t play stupidly and know your build well, you can really mitigate your HC death chance to near zero imho. Of course, PS4 is local only, so no server lag to deal with. I suspect most HC deaths are due to server lags, and NOT play screw ups.

I wouldn’t say most… That I believe belongs to the sleep boss. I can’t even recall if I ever lost a HC character to server issues tbh. And my internet is quite spotty at times. When it starts showing signs of weakness, I would log out and wait it out. Pretty much every HC death I’ve had has been poor decisions while being tired.
And as far as the OP… yeah monk is going to rule this season, but I still want to see what I can do with the Marauder Build.
Well, it depends on players then… I play HC on PC and all my deaths in recent seasons were due to server lags or freezes
And when you lose your full augment DH and its 130+ legendary gems, you tend to get back to SC for a while…

My entire post was about deaths due to external factors, none of which apply on local play. Sure, you can mitigate those as well to a degree, but having margins so you can take any punishment the game can dish out for 20-30 seconds is not feasible, so there’s risks, always.

Blizzard needs to introduce a system that monitors for spikes and instantly boots affected players.
They have the HC only necklace, Ancestor’s Grace, which prevents your death once, but is destroyed in the process.
I’ve said it before, but one change I would have loved to see with it is that upon saving you from death, it also will automatically teleport you back to town. That way, it would have some actual use, and be helpful for accidental disconnections, lag spikes, etc.
Whit sliver of terror any build is going to be powerfull. Ok maybe builds that are not heavily CD dependant will not benefit from it too much. And I realy like that pet builds whit dregs of lies are more viable. So whit that said, whit sliver of terror and dregs of lies Inna will wreck the whole seson. And whit Zuni DoD you’ll be pretty much unkillable.
