Unkillable monster in standard rift after mass kill

I’m seeing monsters that cannot be targeted. This is becoming more frequent as character ability for mass kills rises. Currently running Witch Doctor with Spirit of Arachyr to bonus Locust Swarm . Getting large numbers of off screen kills from Pestilence. Monsters in this state are still able to damage the character, and will remain in zone after player leaves area and returns (town or other level). Area damage cannot kill / remove monster from game.
