To help Blizzard track bad QoL decisions. Uninstall game.
I’m one that dislikes making new characters, Seasons not for me.
[Secondary Uninstall Reason]
I’ve been forced to do some seasons for stash space for a 2nd class. I have all 6 classes leveled up, but I don’t play them due to lack of storage. I like playing multiple builds for each class.
Yeah, this is my preferred way of playing ARPGs too.
Did this in Torchlight, progressing all three classes simultaneously. If i find an item that’s good for another class, i can give it to that class. Did the same thing with D3 vanilla in the first year of play.
But with seasons, i only have time for one class… sometimes i might make a second class and usually switch to it for my play time for the rest of the season.
After 8yrs of seasonal play, it would be nice to go back to NS with the permanent QoL improvements seasonal players get.
How have you managed to play this game NOT knowing the non-season is a pure unadulterated experience with no seasonal power ups transferred to it. It is an intentional decision to keep a clean version to act as a baseline for the seasonal play. The QoL stuff on the alter comes with power ups too. Therefore it goes against the intent of Non-season to include it. Now, as far as visions are concerned, I could see them eventually adding those to non-season as it is just another way to get loot. Not really a game changer and quite frankly not something I would do anyways as I have tons of mats and gold already on off season.
QoL features should not be used to separate players into upper and lower classes.
Seasonal features are fine left in season, but QoL should not be season only. This is stash tab 2.0, and is basically Blizzard telling us that they do not care about non-season.
True for D2 classic. As I understand, D2R gives you access to all rune words even if you’re not playing ladder/seasons.
They just create a divide between online and offline saved characters by not allowing offline to play multiplayer… whether over the net or via LAN. Which sucks for those of us with some old characters. Would have been great to play my old Paladin/Barb/Assassin with my bro.
It’s the principal, The fact it was mentioned on twitter by Pez the altar would be in NS then out of no where recently its like they not adding the feature.
My personal opinion both features should be in seasons and non season without question. You nerf classes but dont add the altar in NS? Which means and from looking at d4 you want everyone to play seasons or change games
I’m also very disappointed that the Altar and Visions don’t arrive in non-season.
After 12 years of play and 29 seasons, I thought I would continue in non-season. But no. I’m doing the season quietly, as I’ve been doing since the beginning.
Would I uninstall it though? No.
Would I continue to play it? Yes
The thread talking about “petition” is more revelant than an “I unstalled/I Quit” thread.
People dont like bs or getting lied to, Even if it was something that was miss spoke it would of been better not to say anything at all. That way people would of had nothing to look forward to by word of mouth.
I understand your desire to bring it to NS. I am all for it and was vocal about it on the forums here.
However, Altar not being in NS was clearly a business decision to trick “oldschool” gamers into thinking seasons are the cool thing and to drive them away from D3 into D4.
Speaking in business terms, if you uninstall D3:
there are less monthly active users, i.e. they have a reason to care less about D3 anymore
because of less players, they can reduce server capacities and lose less money on D3 (They don’t make money on D3 anymore unless you account for new bot accounts)
If you want Blizzard to consider bringing Altar to NS, show them that you care about the game in a constructive way. Not playing it anymore will do them a favor.
